Reasons why I love this club - 283847 addition 11:50 - Oct 3 with 7547 viewstextbackup

2 weeks back my cousin was taken into hospital, and diagnosed with cancer, turns out it had been there for some time and spread terribly.
Saturday evening she sadly passed away.
Her husband works at the club and this morning received a bouquet of flowers, and a home kit for their 2 year old son. Along with a phone call from Mark Ashton.

I know only a small gesture but means the world. My cousin and I, our great grandad, is the reason the entire family are Town fans… he started all this, so for the club to help ease the pain seems so fitting.

So very sorry to read this, may she rest in peace. Life is so cruel.
To your point about ITFC’s response, there is no doubt in my mind that our club is special, and while it is only football, there is something comforting about PR and being a Town fan.

I am glad the football club are doing the right things. Small gestures are sometimes the most valuable in my limited experience.

One of my employees was upset at work today and said she had recently lost one of her best friends.

Reading your post tonight, her friend, is your cousin. What a tragically sad story for someone so young and with a young family.

Condolences to you all. But so nice to hear that ITFC responded in that way. Another example of how ITFC 2023 is light years away from the ITFC of Marcus Evan's days.

That is absolutely awful. I lost my mum when I was a lad (although not as young as that). My heart goes out to that little boy and his dad - and just made a small donation.
