If its coz he doesn't value their thoughts I think it's wrong. There's no reason females can't be as knowledgeable as some of the male colleagues.
If however it's about tone... then I agree and if there was a higher tone male voice commentating I'd find that off putting too. That's not because it reminds me of a female but as an enjoyable listening experience I find the tone of a voice quite important.

Not sure as I don’t often watch sky. I don’t see any reason women should be in some way be innately inferior to men in something like this. Fair enough if you’re talking about playing the game in terms of physicality. Men will be quicker and stronger just by nature of their biology. But on the tactical side and all the other cerebral aspects of the game, including experiences of playing or managing elite sport, emotional intelligence and all that stuff it’s a level playing field. Women are probably more equipped if anything, given girls perform better than boys at school and most women players won’t have dropped out of standard education early to pursue a football career.

Really don’t think it’s at that level of foolishness at all.
It’s not at all in that level. The comments of those two were sexual in tone as well as bullying.
Keegan did actually praise the women’s game and did single out Gaby Logan as being great. His views on women footballers not being in a position to put themselves in a certain game scenario wasn’t great. But, I think it sounds like an older fella not really keeping up with the times.

Who is actually cancelling him?
The organisation Women in Football's statement quoted in The Guardian piece on this says (in part): “In this context Keegan and people of a similar mindset have a moral obligation to keep their opinions to themselves, rather than add weight to the narrative that enables online abuse and threats of violence every day simply for doing their job.”
So he's being told that he has a moral obligation to keep quiet - that might fit your or someone else's definition of being cancelled.
