De Zerbi leaving Brighton on 16:13 - May 18 with 2623 views | Alberto_the_frog | Yes, yet another club that our manager will be linked with. As long as the project has plenty to offer here, though, we should be alright.

De Zerbi leaving Brighton on 16:03 - May 18 by J2BLUE | Sideways? They are a well run stable established Prem club. Hopefully we will get established but right now it's a step up unfortunately. FWIW I don't think he will go but then again, you can spend a fortune on transfers or £4m on his release clause and potentially add tens of millions to your squad value. |
But Brighton are at their ceiling. It’s only downhill for them. We are on an upward curve and KM has the chance to build his own empire

De Zerbi leaving Brighton on 16:06 - May 18 by LeoMuff | Bit of a worry, but why upturn his life and family for this, wouldn’t wages be similar, it’s hardly a giant leap foward for him. I would think give ITFC a season and see where we end up, if he does well he will have top 6 offers same as if he did well at Brighton. I would think the aim is to turn us into a Brighton or Brentford and keep his life the same. |
Not a dig at you but I do wonder what planet some of our fans live on sometimes. Brighton’s budget will dwarf ours given we have a year of league one money in the rolling accounts and they’re an established top 10 PL side who played European football last year. The wages on offer would be anything but sideways. I think he stays out of loyalty this summer though unless United came calling or someone totally left field like Bayern. That said some on here also think he’s turn down United if they came calling too. [Post edited 18 May 2024 16:21]

Whoever Brighton are going to replace De Zerbi with, they have almost certainly made contact with already & probably have terms agreed with ahead of this announcement.

De Zerbi leaving Brighton on 15:49 - May 18 by Devereuxxx | The only club KM has been linked with that I find deeply unsettling. Please reassure me everything is going to be okay and he'll be with us next season. |
I’d be worried if we were in L1, but I don’t see how Brighton are a better proposition than us now. They’ve the benefit of a proven PL squad, as they’ve been chucking money around. In terms of potential, overall club size, fan base, etc., we shouldn’t have anything to fear.

De Zerbi leaving Brighton on 16:32 - May 18 with 2296 views | pointofblue | Brighton was the one I was worried about from the moment noises were made about De Zerbi leaving at the end of the season. As an aside, I'm not sure if he's ready for a job like Bayern Munich.

I find it more surprising many think he would leave easily after he's just got us promoted. Of course financially he'd be well covered. But he's most likely not that short of cash right now anyway. And I don't think people quite understand how big an opportunity he has at this club under this ownership group. As Ashton and Shwarz both said we haven't even scratched the surface yet on what can be done. He's 38, what's the rush in leaving now for something he could have in a season or twos time. I don't know his thoughts. So he may well walk away. But I think it's fair for either side of the fence to find others thoughts ' on a different planet' when no one knows what he wants. De Zerbi leaving Brighton on 16:39 - May 18 with 2143 views | itfcjoe | Least it’s happened early, so if they are able to successfully prise McKenna away then we will have a new man in for our pre season. But this could be an absolute nightmare for us, am seriously panicked now and just really hope he does stay - but this is one where he’ll have a very very difficult decision to make

Tbh if he goes then good luck to him, we move on. For town. Least we would have hundreds of managers wanting this gig. And not just fishing from the likes of Paul Cook. Lambert etc.

De Zerbi leaving Brighton on 16:41 - May 18 with 2075 views | strikalite | Just pray they'll be looking for someone with champions league experience to take them onto the next level...but concerned that for KM this would be ideal as the next step before his dream Manure job..

Some things money can't buy Mckenna isn't one of them.

That would be brilliant to take that if McKenna is still here when we play there!

I’ll be very surprised if KM leaves for Brighton. They have peaked, surely. If it was genuine interest from Utd I’d be more worried.

Baffling how people think isn't it? How on earth is this a sideways move?

De Zerbi leaving Brighton on 16:04 - May 18 by SitfcB | That’s a shame because I heard it was Vincent Kompany that likes to be beside the seaside |
I was told a couple of weeks ago by someone I know who has links with Albion that De Zebri was leaving and were looking at Kompany as his replacement
