They are being rather more aggressive than you'd imagine Kieran would like. At the end of the day, their job is to put their client in what they view as the best position they can. However, I'm not sure this is doing him any good assuming he doesn't go to Man U or Chelsea. |

This doesn't mean this is nonsense, but it does mean they've probably created a "bidding war" situation and the ultimate goal is probably to have a bunch of options for McKenna to choose from. There was a time that this being on the BBC would be a massive concern but given the hit and miss nature of some of their recent articles I'm not quite on full alert just yet.
It almost has the vibe of guesswork and is a bit contradictory. Suggesting McKenna and Pert want to go and there is no panic from Ipswich is somewhat at odds. I'm sure we'll have a top replacement identified and lined up, it's what Ashton does, but the no panic bit suggests we think we can keep him whilst the rest is basically saying he wants to go.

These things are easy to say as an Ipswich fan though.
Looking from the outside, if the same was happening with Kompany last year, would we be saying stay at Burnley over going to the other clubs?

Yep, and I'm genuinely at the point where we need to know one way or the other, all these agents briefings are getting tiresome, clearly he wants a bigger job, which is absolutely fine, but we need clarity and time to organise our own house.
