Seat moves from west stand just notified 16:52 - Jun 10 with 19138 views | markt | Hi, Just been told about 600 of us have to move to accommodate the new press box running along west stand upstairs. We have to get in a queue tomorrow morning to move but options are severely restricted or restricted in west , or the crap ones in Sir Alf. Very poorly organised , and no time to sort,. How did Cobbold moves get on, I understand they were told and moved last week

Seat moves from west stand just notified on 17:33 - Jun 10 with 9717 views | EsherBlueStu | It’s an absolute shambles. We’ve had great seats near half way. Now the options are Restricted View or behind a goal. Three things bug me about this: 1. Why have the given all the good seats to the Cobbold relocation before doing this? 2. Given it’s the front six rows and there seem to be plenty of restricted view at the back why not just move the whole section back six rows rather than effectively moving those with the best seats (and I suspect longest serving season tickets) to the back 3. Why not automate. I don’t have time off work to go ringing the ticket offfce in the middle of the morning.

The only options are seats that were never sold as season tickets are the views are awful, you'll take it for a game not for a season. Correct re Cobbold, also some won't check email and won't know about the phone q tomorrow at 10.... very poor

While I understand your frustration, can you image the fallout if they went with option 2.

This is what Phil expects now he's Premier League. You suffer so he (and all the other journos) can have a wine fridge next to their press seats. FACT

we'd all take a crap seat , and probably have to sit with non season mate for a game, but the whole season, like it or lump it, seems out of kilter with whole ethos over last couple of years, and yes , very much so the longer serving in that standing. If now we need to lose say first four rows of lower sir bobby, image the uproar then when only offered seats they couldn't sell as seasons.

Sounds like he's going to need a new pair of trainers, for best.

Seat moves from west stand just notified on 18:12 - Jun 10 with 9365 views | mellowblue | Very disappointing, but not sure what else the club could do having flogged all the best seats. Doesn't sound as if there had been any forward planning, but I suppose 3-5 years ago, premier league seemed 10 years away, minimum. I've had the same seat since the Pioneer was built 43 years ago, front row in N block. Very sorry to lose it. Certainly hurts. My loss will be some journo's gain, may be Phil ? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It should have been better controlled last Summer. They sold well over the 21k they were talking about and presumably that’s the problem now.

That's very hard. Priority when next stand built or moves become available; Compensation in some form maybe just for this season. Very blase attitude by club from everything sent to me and Ashton interview

It seems like we’re being penalised for being season ticket holders in the League One years. Couldn’t they make all the seats available that were only sold as ST for first time last year available and make the championship fanboys move to restricted view. (I’m sure there’s a million reasons why not but I’m so frustrated…) I got screwed on loyalty last year too. Got away tickets in League One with ST but no membership (as no need) but then didn’t get points in Championship so couldn’t get to away games I wanted to despite them buying a membership card! They’ve made sure to penalise the loyal season ticket holders… again….

And the sadness of this is that a quart into a pint pot just isn’t going to go. We are paying for literally decades (2) of stadium/club neglect.

Could’ve easily built up a good set of points to get to away games from the start of last season, what games did you want to get to?

Seat moves from west stand just notified on 19:27 - Jun 10 with 8574 views | mutters | Sounds rubbish and a bit out of step how the club has been operating over the last few seasons. They didn't plan for such a quick asscention to the PL and so feels like they've been caught out. Noti sure whether there are any alternative options but for a long standing fan to get a crap or even crapper alternative is just awful. The poster who has been in their seat for 43 years and the club hasn't come up with a better solution I feel for. Club should be actively trying to find these people a better solution. Hope it's not a sign of things to come as we have a massively increased demand

Off the top of my head Watford was one I seem to remember. I’m not pretending I went to all the League One away games but the ones I wanted and I’m not buying a Sunderland ticket and not showing up just to get the points.

There is an option to try and make this fairer - ie moving all people an equal ish amount so that those who have had the best seats (and generally will be the longest serving STs) aren’t basically dumped to the back of the Q so to speak. It’s the sort of thing that needed to be handled which more sensitivity than it has been - the like it or lump it approach must be very upsetting for those fans who have watched us struggle for years

Amongst everything else going on the club are moving 1000+ season ticket holders. The club doesn't employ enough people to give the situation a human touch.

I don't mean to moan really. Having had the same seat for 43 years ( a good front row one at that) has been a privilege, but I don't see what else could be done. I shall just suck it up and needing 2 seats (not because I am huge but because I take my son) accept seats probably right at the back of the stand with a restricted view as there are no others. At least I will still have a seat that 1000's would love to have and can get a good few more seasons under my belt before old age or death catches up! The club have been caught navel-gaving a bit, which is unlike them.

This was a real cock-up and has exacerbated issues for sure. The lack of tact shown over the summer suggests the club wouldn't lose any sleep if a portion of those affected opt to cancel their renewal. At least those moved from the more premium D seats may take comfort that they were prioritised over the latest batch!
