Got to love some fan comments on 17:15 - Jul 9 by SuffolkPunchFC | It's now that you begin to see who the true, dedicated supporters are. How is £20 too much to get a couple of hours of seeing the new squad, and what the the next 9 months may bring. These are the same 'supporters' that will be moaning, and deserting the club when we lose a few matches. |
It's not fair to talk about how dedicated fans are by how much they are willing to pay. I don't really care about friendlies, we have enough football to watch usually. I'd like to watch Ipswich play Fortuna Dusseldorf away. I like the idea of making a mini tournament and having a cup.

Nobody said that you have to buy a ticket. Probably best for you to wait until August.

All this money people with not that much of it spend on watching Premier League footballers just goes to increase wages and average prices of players. We really aren't any better off for the Premier League racquet over the old 1st Division.

Got to love some fan comments on 18:19 - Jul 9 with 1658 views | The_Flashing_Smile | I can see both sides. It was a tenner last season wasn't it? Been a while since I went to a friendly, West Ham was my last one. But like you say, a fair old outlay on players this week (if it all comes off) and we're Prem now. More cash in the coffers required. And let's be honest, people will pay it.

And this answer is based on years of experience in finance and marketing of a successful football club, yes? - I'd love your answer to be reality, because after the match I'd go and watch some strippers where they pay me to watch and then head to a casino where I win, even when I put my money on the wrong numbers on the roulette table.

Some also seem to have overlooked that it’s against our favourite overseas club, with whom we’ve had very good, friendly relations for a number of years. I think most don’t mind paying a bit more for that experience, as well as seeing our new signings.

If people can’t afford it, or have no interest in friendlies, that ok and understandable. That wasn’t the point I was making. I was supporting the OPs point that it’s unbelievable that some ‘supporters’ are implying that the club are charging excessively, and/or it’s poor value.

That’s good. I won’t have to listen to some miserable old git in a Norwich shirt underneath his car rug banging on about the good old days. Tbh, I don’t think £20 is too bad. In fact in this day and age it’s no money really. It’s a bit of entertainment and a chance to see the team for the price of a round of drinks.
