Does anyone read the ‘tractor girls sign’ stories? on 20:18 - Jul 17 with 1970 views | Guthrum | Yes. Not every time, but I try to take an interest. I went to see them play almost as often* as the men's team last season. * Didn't get to see the men play that many times, either.

Does anyone read the ‘tractor girls sign’ stories? on 20:58 - Jul 17 with 1922 views | chrice | I find it odd that people feel the need to constantly point out they don't care about women's football. You can just keep it to yourself you know?

It was a fair question. There are a few signings being made by the ladies an they are reported on this site. Texters asked if anyone bothers reading them. Some do and some don't.

Does anyone read the ‘tractor girls sign’ stories? on 15:39 - Jul 17 by itfcjoe | Yeh normally check them out to get a feel for what level of playing bringing in - all the ones this year seem to be from a higher level and lots of experience there so feels as though we are pushing the boat out somewhat which I like to see The latest one has a YouTube famous partner, I hadn't heard of them but Rommy probably has - GK Barry |
Interesting - think she (GK Barry) has been linked to Strictly this year. If they have any pros left to dance with her. To answer the original question, I have to admit no. And, guiltily, every time I see a "Tractor Girls sign..." headline, part of me thinks "Forget about them, work on getting the deals over the line for the men's team". Rationally, I know one doesn't have a massive bearing on the other. And I will be cheering them on, hoping they finally get promoted this year.

Does anyone read the ‘tractor girls sign’ stories? on 17:25 - Jul 17 by textbackup | Without being horrible, I’m the same. They could get to the FA cup final, and not a single part of me would feel I wanted to be there. (I hope they do get there for those that do have an interest though, and for the ladies themselves of course) |
Rumour has it away points will be rewarded for each ladies game too. Can be used to build your total up for both teams.

I want them to do well and I'm happy the club are seemingly investing in the women's game. It has potential, you have to start somewhere, and the girls are representing Ipswich.

Does anyone read the ‘tractor girls sign’ stories? on 07:13 - Jul 18 with 1460 views | Wallingford_Boy | Rarely. They are playing at a pretty poor level still and no signs of kicking on, I am a coach in the woman’s game and know players at that level and although only a few leagues below the Prem, it’s a lifetime away in reality. Need to invest some money in the women’s team really if they have any hope of moving up the leagues.

It's not the innocent question you're making it out to be, particularly when it's coming from Mr. 'I tell it like it is, call a spade a spade, me'. You don't think we all came down in the last shower do you?

I’ve never claimed to tell it how it is. I simply saw 3/4 stories about the women, and thought ‘I wonder if anyone actually reads these considering I bet nobody actually knows any of the players or the levels they play at’ So I’d say that’s pretty innocent, shame you feel the need to try and create something out of it tho.

With the rise in popularity of the game across all genders, it's probably wise to invest in ladies football as much as the academy imo. With the desso pitch, there is opportunity in the future for PR to host all forms of football, so if you can end up getting crowds of 10k plus for the other town team at PR then it's worth investing in.
