I attended a Billy Bragg concert a couple of months ago in aid of it, and I would certainly vouch for it.
The following is their report on Saturday's demonstration in London, which an estimated 20-30.000 attended, far more than the hundreds which attended the remembrance demonstration in Whitehall last November.

Merseyside Police have confirmed:
22 officers injured, includes fractures, a broken nose and one was knocked unconscious. Members of the public had cars set on fire. Bricks and fireworks thrown at mosque. Three police dogs injured, one badly burnt, two others hit by bricks.

I know Southport well because I got married there and have visited it many times, and I am sure that a resident tidying up who was interviewed on Sky this morning was right when he said the rioters came from elsewhere.
And this is what the Police and Crime Commissioner said.
"(Merseyside Police) will be reviewing the footage of exactly who was there last night, they have been monitoring the online activity as well, trying to understand who was doing what.
They have said that they believe it was members of the English Defence League (EDL), they don’t believe it was individuals from the local area.
There is a strong feeling that there are individuals like the EDL, who have been using this incredibly tragic event to whip up hatred, incite violence, and that’s the result of what we saw last night.
