Gone - thing is, Sitter's apology/acknowledgement was the last comment in there.

I love TWTD, the banter era maybe dead off the pitch but it is definitely back on here.

I've not seen a reply and I'm sure many other haven't either

I don't know you, so I'm not going to get offended by what some idiot says on the internet. But I will always call it out when I see it because people need to know certain things are not ok

There’s some nasty things going on/happened that gets people backs up, on all sides, we all have opinions and we all want to debate.

Need the football season to start, things should hopefully get better on here then, or worse!

Personally football is a welcome distraction to ‘life things’ and I’m sure many can say the same.

Football season would give a very welcome distraction to be honest.

You are bang on that there are some incredibly rubbish things happening and they should be discussed and debated. It's just a shame that these often end up with the thread being pulled. It's a repeating pattern on here which is a shame as I love a good debate, so long as it's conducted in the right manner. You can learn so much from just listening to people with opposing views. I don't always agree but I am always up for having my eyes opened more.

Agree to disagree, as even coincidences can be manipulated to equate to something far worse than what was intended. Either way, I have to head off to close the sale of one of my farms, I bid you good hay.

Nothing to disagree with. I kept the receipts.

Let's hope this weekend sees the baying mobs attacking mental health institutions up and down the country then. Oh but we won't will we because Muslims on boats or something. Seems to me you and others on here are being well and truly played and then doing some playing yourselves.

Ps...I'm not suggesting attacking mental health institutions. Someone will almost certainly say that I am if I don't spell it out.

With the exception of the posts on the subject of those poor wee murdered girls in Southport, which was always going to bring out heightened emotions, this place has been fairly harmonious since the posters he mentions were last banned. Not sure what is to be gained by bringing it up again other than to cause more arguments.

I remember the very first day "shut up, q***r" was used. The board was in hysterics. I imagine today, someone would make a complaint to the police.

Glad that's gone, it was cringe. We can do better than have gay people being the butt of the joke. I get that the vast majority using it would have no I'll feelings towards gay people. But we can be more inclusive and welcoming as a community, and it doesn't negatively impact those that used it.

Been watching the Royal family episodes on bbc iPlayer of late, surprised the BBC haven’t taken certain parts out. (They shouldn’t, but they removed faggot from the Gavin and Stacey Xmas special. So to leave in ‘little bummer’ is strange)

Immediately they all started listing more things that were crap, arguing with each other and calling each other racists.

I am in agreement it is gone whilst the Q word is seen as a slur for gay people, however the alphabet people have decided that Q is not a gay slur, it is the correct word for straight males with purple nail varnish (don't mean that to be facetious, it's the just best description i have). Quite simple really. And very similar to the use of the word gay

Using it as a derogatory term = offensive
Using it to discuss someone's sexuality = safe territory

Not really. If someone writes S.U.Q. and claims the latter that's ok, but someone else may interpret it as the former and claim its offensive.

Possibly best to avoid using it if you're not sure how. I'm sure you'll survive
