I thought he was good. Liked the music pre match rather than the usual waffle.
The speech was rousing but he just didn’t get his timings right.
Definitely much better than Mark Murphy who couldn’t even get the words Blue Army right.
The only thing I didn’t like was the half time quiz which was slow, cringey and generally c**p.
That had the same mood-killing effect as sticking on Agadoo at a wedding,

I have no idea what he said. The quiz at half time didn't seem to work. Although it might be better once they have done it a few times. Not bothered by the role to be honest. They most exciting thing at half time is watching to see who gets soaked by the sprinklers. |  | | |

Wasn't impressed in the pre-match, but( perhaps thankfully?) the PA in Block C in Cobbold was nonexistent from the half time whistle.
Couldn't hear any of the subs or other announcements or the half time interviews [Post edited 17 Aug 2024 23:13]

Pretty sure something happened early in the first half in terms of a fault as I heard a very loud bang come from the corner of the Cobbold Stand / Churchmans stand.
The moment I heard the bang the big screen and new scoreboard underneath it went blank and the advertising boards on the Lower Cobbold near that corner also went blank for about 30 seconds and the next time the PA was used it was much quieter. [Post edited 18 Aug 2024 13:00]

I Guess it depends what you want from a match day PA.. for me and im sure most people Rob Chandler is the blueprint. He just always seemed to hit the right tone.
Foster was too dull
Murphy was like a Mr Tumble impersonator
This new guy is for me (and everyone is different) a bit to OTT. Even when he read the team out putting emphasis on all the numbers and names it felt like I was at a pantomime.
But as I say, I genuinely believe in Rob Chandler we had the bets in the business and since then it has been hard to recapture that, a bit like Fergie leaving United. |  |
