I just don’t understand why he doesn’t just throw the comedian under the bus and say that it was a very poor attempt at a joke and doesn’t represent his views. It would largely get him off the hook and shut down the story without having to actually apologies and damage his ego

They think he'll avoid questions because of it.

I'm not really having a go, but asking you that question in good faith. I do see an element of truth in some of what you say, but to be determined that all 'MSM' is bad, you would surely then have to discount all information from all media sources (particularly the fruitcake right wing channels that sprout up everywhere, imo) as bad and just go on what you have seen with your own eyes. And since we don't have the range or access to see much at all with our own eyes, then we're all pretty much lost.
If 'MSM' has lost all integrity, there's no hope for anything except a fascist, autocratic world, is there? We all have to hope that you're more than a little bit wrong.

Interesting how few voted in 2022 and no surprise there's an increased attempt to persuade them to vote. Agree, in what's expected to be a close election, previously untapped voters could make a significant difference. I think the orthodoxy for this election is that a bigger turnout will be positive for Harris.

She won't jump on Joe Rogan for longer than an hour because she knows she hasn't got enough in the locker to even try answering unseen questions for more than an hour.
She'd be an absolute disaster. Exact same as Labour in this country, they all peddle the 'other side bad, other side bad' malarky while rarely telling you how they're going to fix anything themselves. And even when they do tell you, they probably fall short on most occasions anyway.

She offered to go on his podcast, but said he would need to fit around her last week of campaigning as she didn't have time to fly to Austin.
Given it would no doubt be a 'set-up' like the Bret Bair interview, she did well to even entertain it.
Of course, those who listen to Rogan aren't going to be persuaded to vote for her anyway, so it's a rather pointless exercise.
