Delap - off in January? 16:56 - Nov 10 with 7364 viewsBlacknGoldnBlue

It was hinted at the the end of the game in the studio that someone would come in for Delap in January as he's impressed so much in a very difficult start for us.
Is this media talk or what's the possibility of some players who have impressed at this level being tempted elsewhere or do we have faith that we'll keep everyone KM wants in January?

It's have to be an absolutely ridiculous price for us to consider it. Can't see it happening off the back of a few months.

It would probably cost £60 million to get him in January.
So no I can't see it.

Unless he downs tools for a move I don't see this happening, it wouldn't surprise me if there is a release clause if we go down though.

A week on a Greek island will freshen him up nicely for our survival push. Good idea.

Every player has his price, but Delap is contracted and if we survive it’ll be in no small part due to him and the money survival generates would dwarf any fee we might get in January. Plus he won’t be worth any less at the end of the season.

He’s going nowhere in my view.

What Studio was that?
I couldn't find the game to watch anywhere.
BBC Radio London through my laptop browser was all I could get and they were wall-to-wall Spurs.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

"Media talk" - reminds me of the derivative fillers used in poor quality dog food in place of proper ingredients.

No chance he goes yet. KM is crafting him and he knows that's only a good thing.

Liam Delap is simply incredible. One of my favourite players for many many years and a genuine top class footballer. A total joy to watch.

Here’s your reminder that someone paid £80 million for Harry Maguire. Stranger things have happened than a £60 mil bid for a striker who’s on fire. We’ll certainly struggle to hang onto him for long if he carries on performing like he is. Who knows when he’ll go though. I’m going to make the most of enjoying him while he’s here.

No chance in January, for the amount we'd want for him,he'd have to go to a big team, how many big teams are playing a 21 y/o as a regular starter / sub let alone playing upto on his own. He's learning so much in this team, absolutely no reason for him.to want to leave
If he finishes on 15-20 goals this season it's going to.be very difficult to keep hold of him in the summer

The move is working really well for him. I don't see a scenario where any move would be seen beneficial for him in Jan. Ok well he may get a mega paydeal of course ... But he's playing week in week out and system suits him and he's scoring. I've no worries on this one. Could definitely see him going in the summer though :(

Think we are already talking £50 million if he scores 15 goals this season. His influence and power in games and his potential.
