Say we do get relegated on 20:33 - Dec 28 with 3187 views | PioneerBlue | There are too many variables to consider that right now aren’t there? What if we don’t? What if KMcK goes before, early, mid, late summer? Who comes in? What if he doesn’t? What if Delap, Omari, DoS, Greaves, Leif or anyone else we would prefer to stay goes in any combination of staying or going early or late in summer window? Who comes in? Who do we replace Mass with? Does Wolf get a new deal? Does Tuanzebe stay or go? Does Burgess stay or go? Which players stay fit through the season? Does FFP or Champ equivalent catch us or not ie Leicester? Blar blar blar

Say we do get relegated on 20:33 - Dec 28 with 3184 views | Vic | Simple - keep most of the squad we have and most likely replace KM with a decent manager so that continuity continues, like Burnley, or Briton, or Bournmouth.

Say we do get relegated on 20:34 - Dec 28 with 3172 views | Marshalls_Mullet | I don't think they invested much in the playing squad. They lost their best player (Barkley) for next to nothing, and has their captain returned from his heart condition? If we go down, I think we have saleable assets, and will retain a strong squad. Effective recruitment of a manager is also key if / when KM leaves.

Say we do get relegated on 20:57 - Dec 28 with 2999 views | SitfcB | If we do go down I think (or I’d like to think) we would keep most of the current squad except Davis and Delap, meaning we’ll have a Championship all stars team! McKenna, he will go if we stay up or go down, but I’ve been saying there has to be a job for him to go to and at the moment it looks like it’ll just be the Tottenham one and that could happen before the end of the season!! We risk doing a Luton if we don’t the replacement right if he does leave. If he stays we don’t do a Luton.

Hang on, at the end of the summer transfer window Burnley sold a huge number of players, Berge, Weghorst, Muric, O-Shea, Vitinho, Odobert, Zaroury, Twine and more. They started the season very strong, sold a few late August, had a wobble but have found consistency again. I would take that next season but we would lose lots in the summer if we did drop plus wouldn't sign Cajuste and that would be a huge blow.
Say we do get relegated on 21:28 - Dec 28 with 2782 views | Churchman | There are no guarantees Frimley. Tbh I have no idea. Trust the owners who have done so much for this club, trust the structure and organisation. There are a lot of good things going on and whatever happens on the pitch, I believe and hope we will be ok and the football club will continue to grow. I don’t think we are in the same situation as Luton.

To be fair, Luton have very good owners, buy not the same funds.

Can see Tottenham going for Fulham manager, then McKenna to Fulham possibly.

McKenna plays a similar way to Big Ange, albeit his attention to detail and coaching may well be better Who would we go for next? I wouldn't be against someone like Rosenior who managed both Delap and Greaves of course I also think he signed fairly well at Hull and didn't necessarily get the luck he deserved. They played a fairly decent brand of football, controlled the ball well and has probably shown why sacking him was foolish

I’d be shocked if a top club we fear losing KM to wouldn’t come in for Ariola instead. See also Marco Silva.

Yeh, all fair points Fulham play a very similar way to us, Bournemouth seem to have quality all over the pitch but there must be good things going on behind the scenes also which aren't easily replicated

Say we do get relegated on 06:20 - Dec 29 with 1865 views | Blue_Heath | It all depends what happens second half of the season. At this moment I am not sure why experienced prem clubs would want our players or manager to be honest. Of course if Delap scores another 10 goals, Leif can start to defend better and McKenna make a really good fight of it then yes perhaps. You also have to consider the Woolfy's etc who know that promotion assuming we go down severely limits their chances of playing so what would they want to do? As much as I love the L1/Champ team I think we will be looking at a huge rebuild to be honest. Wait and see what happens but I expect all 3 promoted teams will be back down with a few games to spare. Bouncing back won't be as easy as people think. Our momentum carried us a long way over last two years.
Say we do get relegated on 08:07 - Dec 29 with 1735 views | peterleeblue | As stated below we simply cant ensure anything. Our best hope is to keep K Mck. We have spent our SKY cash on the team we have now. We will spend next seasons parachute payments on trying to stay up this season I suspect. Its high risk to think that we have a divine right to come down and go straight back up. That seems to be a convenient line of thought with each defeat that inevitably points to relegation. I desperately hope we can shade the margins in the 2nd half of the season and avoid the attempt at being a yo yo club.

Yep, but my 'continuity' comment was meant to be connected to the style of play rather than keeping the same players.

Burnley' didn't keep most of their squad together last summer. I think I read that only four of last year's squad play regularly this season. https://www.espn.co.uk/football/team/transfers/_/id/379/eng.burnley (Not sure how complete this is, - we know a couple of goalkeepers can be added to the list.)

Say we do get relegated on 10:11 - Dec 29 with 1365 views | southnorfolkblue | I think our summer recruitment was with this partly in mind. We signed proven top end Championship performers who we were hoping could improve under KM to take us to the next level. If it doesn’t work out the squad will be plenty good enough to compete. Some will be sold but almost certainly at a considerable profit so we will be able to reinvest next summer. Someone else has made the comment about losing Cajuste (and Phillips) next year if we go down. After a striker, I’d be looking to prioritise a permanent CM like Sheaf

Say we do get relegated on 10:16 - Dec 29 with 1343 views | Mark | The majority of our signings this season are investments (Cajuste and Phillips loans aside) and I think we can sell several of them for large fees if the offers come in (Delap being most valuable). That income alongside parachute money should see our squad thrive in the Championship, especially with some new summer signings. If McKenna leaves his contact should see us get a good fee for him too. I presume all player and staff contracts include relegation clauses to make their salaries affordable if we go down (which is a reason many will want to move to Premier League clubs).

I would hope we’d strongly consider Anthony Barry, if we could prise him away from the England set up. Very similar to McKenna in the fact he’s worked at some massive clubs and is a very highly regarded coach, would make the transition fairly easy I would imagine. I would also imagine Rohl would be high up our list as well
