Just watched MOTD and have to wonder if we actually played yesterday. Not a single word about Town from the three idiots in the studio.

MOTD is best watched on iPlayer, it takes half the time speeding through the inanities.

We scored a goal and had a couple of decent efforts saved!

It would've been nice to have some acknowledgment we were there, even a cursory "Ipswich's survival won't rest on this and last week's games". But there was literally nothing. I stayed up for the comments, just out of interest about how they'd frame it. But there wasn't one!

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

As others have said we didn't turn up. We hardly put a pass together until it didn't matter and ran short distances chasing the ball but never getting there.

You want them to analyse and break down the following

- keeper has the ball
- rolls to defender
- defenders pass between them 2/3 times
- ball to Delap, might control it, might not. Liverpool win it back
Or
- ball to Omari, he’s runs down a blind alley and it takes a gust of wind to blow him off the ball, Liverpool win the ball back.

That was all we done, for the game yesterday and vs Man City.

You saw that with your eyes with the ‘experts’ commentating on it.

We’ll be good again... one day

I font bother lustrning to the tw 8's anymore. Physically turn the sound down. It's the same with match commentary, they were so biased against us, and showed total disrespect towards us.

As I keep saying the Plastic League ain't all that

Well we can't have it all ways. Whether we like the comments made on MOTD if they say nothing they are criticised if the point out our faults they are criticised. We don't need our faults or lack of class being pointed out. We are aware that against the likes of City and Liverpool we have neither the class or the nous to out manoeuvre them. That's not to criticise our team, it's a fact whether we like it or not. We don't need three overpaid pundits to tell us that. Any team coming from the Championship to the Premier League is going to find it very, very hard to compete and stay in this League. Since we went up we haven't really had a team, just a lot of individuals playing together. Defence wise starting with the goalkeeper neither have performed to the standard required. Leif Davis has found it hard to defend and doesn't get the chances to go forward. The other side we haven't had a settled fullback due to injuries. Central defence is changed week in week out. Midfield we have five players. Of which only three seem capable of maintaining a place. Forward wise looks a bit better with the two new recruits but when Delap is on his own he is being isolated as we have no midfielder capable of driving forward. Think we may be better playing 4-3-3 but that would mean getting in another centre midfielder which I believe we need along with a centre forward as if Delap or Hirst get injured we have nobody to fill their places.

They usually mutter something patronising but last night they didn't even bother doing that. No damage done.

They did not comment on any of the teams in the relegation zone tbf

I think they did us a massive favour as if they had commented they could only have ripped into that performance, there was no fight until the end, we kept giving them the ball, our defending was woeful (midfield as well) and our out of possession work rate
Was crap too.

I would rather they not broadcast that on national tv

True but that fast forward button is a bit dodgy on iplayer, it sometimes just gives up and sends you back to the start

In the grand scheme of things, we are where we are. Conceding a hatful to City now Liverpool doesn’t make us a bad side. We are at times, way out of our depth but we’ve arrived at the very top very quickly. There is absolutely no positivity from some pundits at times towards us. They’d rather drool over the elite and look down upon some of us.
In all fairness to Sutton, he’s recognising the way we play, our identity as a team and how he rates Kmc.

We lost 4-1, and didnt really compete for the first hour.

What do you expect??

Felt the same, but it’s happened so often that I’ve come to expect it.

For them to completely blank the opposition is just downright rude. One could have asked another, eg, “what do you think about Ipswich’s chances of staying up”?

Poll: Town's most cultured left foot ever?

Disrespect on 12:34 - Jan 26 with 3025 viewscressi

Let's be honest we have been relegated fodder last 2 games and not done anything till the opposition stopped trying.
3
Disrespect on 12:50 - Jan 26 with 2940 viewsbsw72

What would you have wanted them to say exactly? There’s nothing in yesterday’s prrformance that was significantly different to the Brighton or Man City games apart from the late consolation goal.

They could obviously have torn us apart or been patronising about little Ipswich but they chose not to do either of those.

Sometimes there is little to say or discuss, especially when there was so much quality to talk about on the opposition.

It’s not about disrespect but filling the limited time with content that the majority of the viewing public will want to listen to. Is be pretty cheesed off as a Liverpool fan to have won so well and yet the focus be on the opposition.

I don’t understand why people don’t get that the bigger clubs will always get more airtime than us. It’s about viewing figures.

Disrespect on 13:00 - Jan 26 with 2864 viewsSwansea_Blue

Understandable really. Liverpool are running away with it, so the focus was always going to be about them. And then they barely broke sweat to dismantle us, so all according to script for the media. If we’d have won it would of course been a different reaction and we’d have got the attention instead.

Besides, I don’t understand why anyone cares what they say on MOTD.

Saw Football Focus yesterday. 10 minute article on the match only mentioned us when saying who Liverpool were playing that day.
The rest ALL Liverpool.

Yeah not sure why so many people are bothered about what’s said on MOTD. If these pundits were any good they’d be in management, not on TV. They’re only interested in the top of table and teams at the bottom are meaningless to them. I think I’ve watched it once or twice this season just to hear us being patronised by someone not good enough to even manage a team.

Disrespect on 13:31 - Jan 26 with 2674 viewsSaffronWaldenBlues

I don’t think it’s disrespectful that a tv show watched by an ever decreasing minority of people is not talking about a team they forgot existed until a few months ago, who they’re all foaming at the mouth to see relegated, lose their manager and sell their best players.

It’s called modern football. Ipswich are loathed by the establishment.

We didn't turn up until the last ten minutes.

Herecy to say but Omari might be better as an impact sub and Delap has started to hog the ball one defender too long which you can't do in this league against thge top ten teams.

We're better playing fast and forward.

Enciso looks useful.
