I saw us go from FA Cup winners flirting with relegation to UEFA cup winners flirting with champions of England to relegation, to John Duncan, to John Lyall and Promotion to the very first Prem to 9-0 at Old Trafford and relegation to Burley and 6 years later Wembley and the Prem to administration and relegation to 20 years of sh!!t management and ownership.
And until tonight have never heard of you.
Probably because I rarely post.

We aren’t all newbies whereas you probably are compared to most.
Certainly not giving it the ‘big un’ and as I said in the OP, I’m really disappointed tonight. But genuinely feel the outpouring on here is over the top.
It’s a cruel league and we are just not quite good enough. Simple as that. The frustrating thing for me is that we are not far away, but far enough away to probably end up in the bottom three. If the core of this team remains, I feel we’ll have a better chance of staying up if the opportunity of being in the premier league comes around again fairly soon.
For the record, I’ve read the board for years but rarely post.
....the ones most peed off are the ones who've watched us through the grim times and are now disappointed that we are throwing away something we've been so desperate to see so easily.
It's the fairweather glory hunters that are trying to look cool by saying it doesn't matter.
Because they don't really care.
It’s funny, I used to feel like that and everything turned to sht when we lost, but that was about 25 years ago and my perspective changed with age.
I hate it when we lose but I’ve stopped getting angry and worrying about things I can’t control.
Doesn’t mean I don’t care, I just don’t let it spoil the rest of my life.
I’m not criticising anyone else’s reaction, we’re only human so before I get flamed, I’m just trying to share my view, as tonight hurt but it’s up to me how much i let it affect me.

We are one of the worst teams to have ever played in the Premier League. Of that there is no doubt.
So what you’ve read the board. Many of us have read the board and been following town for 3, 4, 5 or 6 decades as well as “reading” the board and contributing.

Thank god for this - can't believe some people's posts. Boys put in a shift and a half tonight and had more possession against a team worth way more than ours. But its all doom and gloom, slating players, managers, coaches etc I think today's scapegoat is Jaden, who scored two goals and was the BBC's ranked best town player

However, insinuating people who are unhappy with tonight are not really fans is bound to get people’s backs up.
I have had a season ticket since I’ve been old enough to afford one at 19 (19 years ago). I’ve been there through the takeovers, the relegation, the awful managers, the mercenary players. I am unhappy with how things are going currently and I don’t like the dig that I’m a fair weather fan.
Also, having a season ticket for 19 years doesn’t make me a better fan than others, before someone points that out.

I saw us lose at home to Fleetwood. And I saw us get relegated to League One with a team so piss-poor, we were actually aghast when Downes went.
I was there when John Duncan bored all eight thousand of us at home to Stockport on a drizzly Tuesday night. I was there when Mick McGiven put ten men behind the ball for every sh*tty Premier League game he managed.
I've seen fortunes wax and wane with MickMack. I've seen the end of Paul Jewell's anti-football, I've even clapped Paul Lambert. And I'm still bitterly disappointed with us tonight, bitterly so.

Never suggested people were ‘not really fans’.
I acknowledge many on here are incredibly passionate. But in my opinion I feel there is an overreaction, that’s all.
We are light years ahead of where we were but the gap is huge between championship and premier league and getting bigger.
