That’s probably my one and only annoyance against KM

It's hard not to question some of it, even if not directly criticizing McKenna.

Woolfenden is a difficult one because I don't think anyone can dispute O'Shea's place in the side - albeit he didn't settle immediately - but I think we could have made more use of Woolfenden in a three man defence like tonight.

The one that gets me is Burgess vs Greaves, and it has from the start. I don't think I can put it more simply than saying Burgess has played well when called upon, and Greaves has looked shaky every time I've seen him.

Broadhead losing his starting place in recent weeks is also disappointing and hard to fully understand, even accounting for Clarke marginal improvement.

In a two, I think Woolfenden/Greaves work well in a pair as do O’Shea/Burgess whilst, of course Woolfenden/Burgess know each other well. Something is off with O’Shea/Greaves as a partnership and I’m not sure what it is.

If Burgess was on the pitch we'd keep a clean sheet every game according to some of you on here!

Did I say that? The goal came from a cross into the box and not headed clear. From what I watched Burgess was winning all the headers 1st half in that area. Please find where I said we would keep a clean sheet.

Neither player look comfortable with the ball..
Oshea is a pinger. Going back to his burnley says he loved a diag ping. Left right side that was his joy.

Greaves.. looks really uncomfortable. I'm not sure of his past balling but he looks uncomfortable.

Well, with TZ pulling his hammy, Godfrey not in the squad(so assume he is also injured) looks like we're heading towards DOS at RB, so Woolfy should get a run.

We need to stick to a three with wing backs. It works better as a system.

Tuanzebe hamstring pull? FFS.

It’s nonsense he’s not good enough. I thought if anyone was impressing the new England boss it was him tonight.

Well, that was the best ivevever seen Woolfenden play in a blue shirt. Very accomplished, and as someone else has said, he plays to his strengthens in-between two other CBs. If could play like that every game I'd have no issues with him.

Well done Woolfie!

He's played like that pretty much for the last 3 years.

He was excellent last night. It's not just defensively with his ability to read the game and his much improved communication to lead the back line, his calmness and ability on the ball also give us so much as a team when in possession. He really should be starting every week.

This is what I mean - assuming that he’d definitely have cleared the danger had he been on the pitch which no-one can say for sure but is said like it’s unarguable fact.

Not a coincidence that Morsy had a better game two, those two have a great understanding . I think they were both in the Top 5 completed passes league 1, not sure about Championship. Can’t beat those minutes and passes together in a game, Wolf knows what Morsy can and can’t do.

I am only saying it as the majority of evidence in the last 2 years is that high balls Into the box are generally bread and butter for Burgess unlike quite a few of our CBs. I think he would have cleared it but that’s not to say if he was on the pitch Forest might have created and scored other chances.

First half we were looking much more solid defensively than 2nd half with O’Shea and Greaves is my view.

Woolfie is Mr reliable.

Don’t think it was a coincidence that we played better in second half. Something that has been missing in recent games.

I'd love for him to have his whole career with us, he's a fantastic defender. So calm and smart.

If he had slightly more pace he'd have been snapped up by one of the big boys.

He's got more capacity for calamity than any of our other CBs IMO.

if we can balance that out with his otherwise decent capabilities, fine. There was a very dodgy moment in the first half yesterday, otherwise his play was great but it was an unforced error titting about with Palmer in the penalty area.

Maybe Burgess is the leader on set pieces?

We concede less with burgess from set pieces the same reason we did when muric was In goal. They are man mountains which opposition teams know of and set piece taker has to try and
Place ball away from them or change routine to accommodate which is a lot harder to do. If Muric has so far the read of the game, composure of player he would be one of the best keepers in the planet based on his cross taking abilities.

O’Shea is our second-best RB anyway.

They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all!

He's played in 13 matches this season and I honestly can't recall a single calamity.
