Surely the release clause can’t be activated until we are relegated. On the basis that point deductions can still be applied, relegation isn’t official until the agm?

I care we get true market value for him if he goes. I think as an individual he seems well grounded and a likeable lad, although it might be highly unlikely, I hope he stays, and I think he could do with a season in the Championship where he smashes in 30 goals and continues to develop, as he is definitely not the finished article as we all know.

Think the point is, with a WC next summer he needs to go where he's going to get most game time.

At Chelsea, all things being equal, Jackson starts for them.

My preferred choice for him would have been Newcastle on assumption Isak leaves.

He might end up there but Chelsea are still meant to be interested, Maresca v keen as he knows him from his Man City days.
