Now the dust has settled who do we expect to leave in the summer: 08:05 - May 26 with 3498 viewsDamster

I am guessing :

Harness
Al Hamadi
Delap
O’Shea
Hutchinson
Broadhead
Burns
Burgess.
Johnson
Muric
Walton

Plus loans:
Phillips
Caujuse

Could be some significant change.

Why Broadhead? I think he would be pivotal next season…

Because by all accounts, we tried to push him out previously!

Add in Luongo and Enciso and that is 15 players light for next season.
If that happens we can forget about promotion

I would be shocked if Wes Burns left, surely it's very unusual to sign a player who will be injured for months. He's also pivotal to our system, but I do have a sneaky suspicion that he won't be the same after coming back from this long injury.

All the others seem feasible. I think it would be stupid to let Nathan Broadhead go, considering we have seen nothing yet to suggest Jack Clarke or Jaden Philogene are even equal to him let alone better, yet they would be worth a lot more in a sale. I also wonder if Walton could adapt to the playing out from the back better than Palmer so it would be good to keep him. Hutchinson would be a huge miss but I can see the Premier League taking him, same with O'Shea. Burgess also will surely choose to leave.

They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all!

None of us know. There are so many factors, including contracts and personal situations. Delap is the only certainty at this time.

I think Broadhead will want to leave and suspect Wrexham will tempt him with a move to Wales.

We have a lot of right sided players to keep happy if we keep Burns.

Need to spend wisely and a central midfielder and a striker.

I sincerely doubt we'll see Muric, in an Ipswich shirt again.
Johnson will go for the right fee.
Al-Hamadi and Harness will move on.
Hutchinson, in my opinion should stay and play regular first team football, sorry but I don't think he's premier league standard yet, he'll get there, but being a sub in a premier league team won't help.
Burns, I love the guy and it pains me to say it but I worry this injury will hurt his pace and he won't be the same. 😐

Other than that, I don't know, I fear tough decisions will be made but change is necessary. Sorry but one home win all season is a terrible statistic and we have to aim for at least top six next season.

Can’t see that many going, we need to keep the core of the team who are able to step up to the prem again. For me:

Harness
Al Hamadi
Delap
Hutchinson
Broadhead
Burgess
Muric
Walton
Luongo

Plus loans:
Phillips
Cajuste
Enciso

So 8 players to replace from the current squad (not including any keepers in that as I think we’ll go with Palmer and Slicker as number 2 with a youngster as third choice). 5 permanents, 3 high end loans (1 x LCB, 2 x CM, 1 x CAM, 2 x ST)

Morsy. Has a year left on his contract, he isn't going to play in the PL again. Now would be a good time to let him leave. Giving the new captain the full focus of the squad.

All kinds of scenarios are possible.

players who we can’t make stay like Delap, Axel and Burgess,

a few that premier league teams might want (like Davis, DOS and Omari)

some we’d probably like to sell (like Muric and Ali)

A bunch of promotion heroes who have just 12 months contracted who it makes sense to make a decision on.

Much as I’ve not enjoyed this season I kind of expect to enjoy the transfer window less. If the club want a big reset it could be very turbulent and next season there’s no free hits if mistakes are made.

Welsh international, 16 goal involvements in the championship last season (13 goals), and shown in glimpses his level of quality in this division. Not a chance Wrexham can afford what he's worth.

We may lose someone else if an offer too good to turn down comes in, but otherwise I believe Keiran will want to build on what he’s brought together.

We’ll be looking for at least 5 additions

With O’Shea and Omari both signing for a lot of money last summer the club will want to make a profit on them both. This will mean a buyer will have to fork out £20m on O’Shea and £30m on Omari - not sure whether a club will spend that much on either of them.

I think O'Shea would be more likely. Quick and versatile. Would be a good player for a lower premier league team without breaking the bank.

Baggott

Speculative
Omari
DOS
Tuanzebe
Johnson

Loans out
Slicker
Muric

I think we'll be pretty circumspect about outgoings. The numbers leaving before pre-season will be limited - just Enciso, Phillips, Godfrey, Delap, Burgess and Harness. Reckon Tuanzebe's going to sign a new contract and we'll sort something for Cajuste

Then everyone else it will be depend how our incoming business unfolds.

If we get two centre midfielders in early, we might feel like we've got scope to move Jack Taylor on.

We've probably got one too many amongst the non-striker forwards. Reckon Jack Clarke and Nathan Broadhead are probably the two closest to being surplus to requirements but we'd only move one on if we're confident in keeping the rest of them.

If we can find a good LCB for a reasonable price, we'll probably sell Baggott.

Goalkeepers is a bit of a shambles, so who knows what we do there.

From the same person who told me about the £100m+ budget that many people pooh-pooh'd last May, we're expecting a churn of around ten players. The target is to have a stronger squad than the one we started with in August 2024. Not sure how that'll be possible on a smaller budget, but that's the hierarchy's aim.

And Dara O'Shea will be central to that. KM wants to build around him and does not want him to leave, in the same way he wanted Omari last summer.

Yep, that's what I've been told too. Heard we're planning on giving him the 'team captaincy' from next season with Morsy moving to a more 'club captain' role.

All the loanees
All the players out on loan apart from Harry Clarke and Cam Humphreys
Walton
Slicker (on loan)
Luongo
Broadhead
Delap

Plus anyone that we decide to cash in on.

I know plenty will put Muric on the list of players to go, but I reckon a season in the Championship will probably help to rebuild his confidence

A churn of ten. Off the back of that number, the majority are obvious straight away, presuming loans count.

Christian Walton
Harry Clarke
Ben Godffrey
Kalvin Phillips
Jens Cajuste
Massimo Luongo
Marcus Harness
Julio Enciso
Liam Delap
Ali Al-Hamidi

Obvious some may go who we'd prefer to keep - Davis, O'Shea, Hutchinson - so we'll have to work that into the equation. If we can rebuild midfield adequately and... gasp... bring in two decent strikers rather than one like every other Gamechanger window, we could be in a better place than August 2024.
