No idea to be honest. Played a few games for West Ham before going to City, so they must think he has something about him!

Most of Jewell’s squad were divs.

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

10 goals and 4 assists in 9 prem 2 games sounds promising, city only paid 1.4m last August for him so 10m sounds steep
From his point of view if he can replicate Delap in one season under Mck, that could be very good for his career

Not seen much of him, but he’s a big lad.

Type of signing we need to make alongside players in the 24-28 age range.

I’ve heard negotiations are already complete.

£10m initial fee
City have a buy back clause for £11m
He has a promotion release clause of £5m and city are due 25% of any fee we sell him for.
Oh and we have to pay city an extra £500k for every goal he scores.

Great player if we can get him!

Good early signs on our summer strategy, targeting real quality in Muamba/ Guiu early on.

Was at West Ham as a youngster seen a few times never over impressed but would imagine the club know more than I do.

Yep, this is where scouts would have been watching him playing for the U21s at City and seeing the development & potential. With Lille interested, would assume there is encouraging reports.

How much do we have to sell him for if we don't get promoted though?
And what if we do a Luton?

Would like this - really rate him as a future talent.

Physically ticks all the boxes - athletic, powerful, good size, and a really good finisher.

Actually has scored at Portman Road in a youth game for West Ham, a few years back now.

Would make sense, I’m sure we were interested when his contract was expiring at West Ham. McKenna likes reverting on previous targets.

Hopefully Ashton has learnt his lesson on sell-ons / buy backs.

Do you not want us to bring in any more players?

Sell-on / buy-back clauses are very typical in transfers these days, and if we won’t agree to them, the selling club will move on from us, and sell to someone else.

Whilst him and Guiu are highly regarded I’d be a bit nervous that we’d be gambling a lot on 2 unproven strikers if they were the two we brought in.

Sell ons and buy-backs are absolutely normal, but I don’t know where this myth that you can’t sign players without them has come from. (We’re not obliged to buy from City, Villa etc and there’s plenty of players abroad).

We’ve just sold Delap for a maximum of £5M profit, when in reality, he’s a £50M+ player. You’re absolutely naive if you think Ashton isn’t absolutely kicking himself, however positively you want to spin it.

The thing is the relegation release clause had nothing to do with Man City.

I’d bet pretty good money that most of the players we signed this season have similar in their contracts just as they also have massive wage cuts related to relegation.

But it does have something to do with City when they get 30% of any profit. It happens and we move on swiftly, but I’m telling you now, Ashton will be kicking himself.

You have literally no idea what MA is thinking right now.
The amount of guesswork and hysteria on the deal has been completely out of control
