If he goes for 35 million I'd be sad but not unhappy. This is the model we're developing we're going to lose players we fall in love with but if the team progresses then it's all good. Not great as a fan but hey that is where we are at these days. 35 million will be a more valuable sale than Delap giving us considerable headroom.

O’Shea was a full international and he’s signed a new contract, what’s stopping Omari doing the same?

Give him a new contract like Dara and promise him the earth.

Do not let that man leave this football club.

Think they will but I doubt that will be enough, shame as he would be unstoppable in the championship but he is too good for there unfortunately.

The only Muff in Town.

Because his ceiling is much higher hence the reason his release clause is bigger than Delap. It's solid management whether we like it or not, be happy it happened not sad it's gone.

I really hope not. Still got a lot to improve on and I fear he goes to any of the teams mentioned he ends up being on the bench most of the time. Look at Summerville didn’t get much game time until he was injured and hardly set the league alight.

Omari’s development would be best served staying with Town and being a starter. Not sure anyone would pay the 35m and we certainly don’t need to sell him for any less.

He’s not going to stay with us in the Championship if the likes of Dortmund, Leipzig and PL clubs want him.

It’s the consequence of being relegated.

People always say that, but just today Dara O'Shea has opted to stay with us in the Championship with the likes of Burnley, Leeds and Wolves in the PL wanting him.

It's far too simplistic a view.

Dortmund are a slightly bigger temptation than Burnley. Omari is courting the interest of bigger teams than O'Shea.

I think it’s far too simplistic a view to compare their situation.

Omari is on a completely different pathway and journey. We are stepping stone in his development - he’s a young English talent, still very raw, but has a bit of buzz and hype around him, and clubs are lured towards players like that.

Examples already this window alone being Liam Delap and Jobe Bellingham.

Ogbene, Philogene and Burns are all credible replacements. Don't want him to leave, but we have quality replacements, so no need for panic.

None of them are like Omari though. Burns/Ogbene are hybrid RW/RWBs who are very specific for the system.

Philogene is more comparable but he doesn't have the speed that Hutch has. Omari is our best ball carrier by a mile. At times last season he and Delap were the only 2 who could carry the ball over the halfway line and get the opposition defenders running backwards. If he went we would need to sign someone of a similar profile.

I'm referring to players personalities and their awareness of their own optimal development options really, not just whether they're in demand or not.

Not sure any of those Prem clubs rate him highly enough to pay £35m but Dortmund would be the worry for me. If they sell Bynoe-Gittens to Chelsea then Omari is an obvious replacement.

And Leipzig. They're looking to sell both Xavi Simons and Benjamin Sesko this summer which could well bring in over £100m+.

I have a feeling if he stays this summer he'll be off in Jan to a bigger club than the ones mentioned here.

What sort of half season does he have to be having in the Championship to attract bigger clubs than this? I don't see it personally.

Yep, 1 more year is all I'm asking Omari. If we don't go up then by all means move on and crack on. Just give us a year.

His release clause being higher is just indicative of a worse agent or less leverage, it's always in a players best interests to get this as low as possible unless they negotiate it away for better wages.

Hutchinson is a strange one for me. Makes a lot of things look easy but I felt in the championship he was better when he wasn't being relied upon to be the main man and the times where he was it hurt his productivity. He's got plenty of time to fix that though and if he does I would imagine England caps are on the horizon.

I wonder if we were aware of this interest from January tbh, it would make a bit more sense of our pursuit of Philogene.

In all likelihood, the higher release fee relates to the bigger initial outlay paid by us.

I haven't seen any of these games but Stuart Pearce was sayiong he was the stand out player on TS this morning so its looks as though a lot of clubs are going to be aware of this.....!

YOung, english, release clause not too high. I'm sure he won't be here come August. Its a shame, as he's clearly one of our better players, but also, we do have adequate cover for him.
