England Women 4-1 Outright at Euros 21:41 - Jun 26 with 1698 viewsSimonBatfordITFC

I noticed that bookies are offering 4-1 for England Women to win the Euros. Surely that’s worth a punt!

Edit to remove the context which was confusing some posters.

It's much more critical about the quality of football skills or attendance and investment, etc, than the stadium.

ITFC ladies have been fabulously supported at Felixstowe and Walton, and I'm sure will continue to be so at Colchester.

I think you probably just made your point on the wrong thread. To be fair, not one single person made any sort of negative comment about women's football.

Your frustration is understandable - what you describe happens far too often. I think you just took it out on the wrong thread.

Fair statement. Probably a bit over-primed to take offence tonight, given some personal circumstances. Apologies if I have gone overboard.

You've lost it on this one.

Lets be honest, on an ITFC forum, more people are going to pick up on his claim that he has insider info (no matter how doubtful) on Ipswichs best player leaving the club.

Just to be very clear it was another board member claiming that they have insider info on the Brentford interest on the separate Omari post. I have reason to trust said user and decided to wager £20 on their nudge and a wink.

Upon doing so I noticed that England Women have a decent price for outright winners on the Euros and created this separate post to discuss that and maybe ponder the chances of winning the tournament.

It’s a shame that the thread has been derailed by some overexcited posters and agree with Hugo that it often seems that posts surrounding ladies football end up that way.

There is no way Hutchinson had a market on Ladbrokes. Anyone walking into a shop and asking for a price is not getting 4/1 either.

To be fair, bookies will offer you odds on ANYTHING as long as they are taking money from idiots willing to give them money. As my grandad used to say, you don't see many bookies rising bikes.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Were it the case of you wanting to talking about England women at the Euros you wouldn’t have mentioned Omari at all.

The question being asked was what bookie was offering odds on Omari to Brentford and what price did you get for your bet.

I cannot see odds anywhere for Omari on any of the main bookmakers.

The OP is obviously a troll (and clearly a supporter of a different club based on one of his posts yesterday) but for anyone stressing about the Omari claim and the short price, it’s worth saying there’s no market whatsoever. That is an obvious lie.

Source - I work as one of the main traders at a well known online bookmaker taking many thousand bets a day. We look at every competitor including what markets they have. There is no bookmaker anywhere in Europe currently offering any price on Hutchinsons next club. If there was, I would literally know of it. The only Hutchinson related bet you can find is 25/1 with Betvictor and 20/1 with William hill for him to make the 2026 world cup squad.

As an "aside" the OP mentioned that he placed a bet on Omari, and the main gist of the thread was that England Lionesses are 4-1.

Virtually no responses are about the odds for England Women's odds for success at the Euros.

I really don't care that some people don't have an interest in Women's football, but what bugs me is that people add comments that avoid the subject of discussion.

As someone who tried to play pro ladies football in the 90s when everything was piled against us, it just tweaks a nerve. Sorry if I have overreacted to an innocent post.

Please, I consistently defend women's football, telling people to politely jog on if they aren't interested. But the original poster mentioned an insider tip for Omari and I can't see how the point was anything other than disguising a trolling attempt.

If the original poster is going to say two separate things then people are perfectly entitled to respond to either.

No offence/belittling intended, just replying to the OP's blatant troll rather than his comment on the Lionesses. Apologies for the confusion.

Are you anticipating much of a change in the market for corners with the rule changes coming in next season? I imagine you’ve been monitoring the trial in PL2 this year, has there been much of an increase?

I accept your opinion if I have over-reacted, but I see so many posts on the forum about ITFC women or England Lionesses punctuated by people who feel the need to tell the forum that they don't watch/dislike/mock the quality of women's football and subsequently derailing threads where people who ACTUALLY do enjoy women's football can't just get on and contribute to a thread. It does grate a bit.

"they don't watch/dislike/mock the quality of women's football and subsequently derailing threads where people who ACTUALLY do enjoy women's football can't just get on and contribute to a thread. It does grate a bit."

Not a single person has said any of those things on this thread, and the only ones derailing it are the OP and you.

Is it really so hard for people who don't like women's football to just scroll on?

I'm so tired of the incessent need for people to state their disinterest in the women's game.

Why not just post a picture of you waving your willy?

They will but if you go into a shop (there is no online market for Hutchinson) and request odds for a highly realistic transfer on a (relatively) low profile player they are not giving you 4/1.

I'm guessing you missed this poster's thread yesterday about Omari's value? Otherwise you'd completely understand why people have picked up on that, rather than discussing Women's football

4-1 is the price with Ladbrokes for England Women to win the Euros. My 2 year old has a longer attention span than some posters in this thread. Less tantrums too.
