Says the Besiktas delay is because we've made another approach for Cajuste.

Strange time to be worrying about concrete cancer. Maybe the acid from the drool of the west standers is to blame?

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

That makes it sound like we haven't actually made an offer before now. What do we think we have actually increased? Personal terms or our offer to Napoli?

Was surprised to see the reported Besiktas fee of 6.5m Euros.

Dammit. This has got me hoping again.

I know plenty of people think he wasn’t all that, and his robustness is in question, but I’d love it if we signed him.

And I’d just got my head round the idea that we weren’t going to

I don't think he's robust enough and I thought he was a bit of a show pony in the sense that even though he looked classy I didn't think his end product was there. Give me a young Morsy instead.
Just hope this doesn't drag, but if he comes I'm going to get my head round him being here and hope he'll live up to the hype.

I’m not going to believe it yet. I’d like the rumour to be reinforced by Phil.

I'm amazed this has become the narrative for some people around Cajuste.

He was quality and if he's available for anything like that figures being quoted it would be mad to not try and get him.

I assume we also get another quality CM in even if we do get him.

He could be asking for the centre circle lines to be painted blue instead of white, maybe he prefers Blue Circle.

Quite. If €1m loan fee plus €6.5m obligation is right then that is an incredible deal. As a Championship club we won't be signing a better midfielder, especially at that sort of money.

This report seems a bit odd though because I doubt we have only just firmed up our interest with a concrete offer.

I can't pre-stress this enough, these are still only rumours.

They may turn out to have been fabricated by the agent

It could be that the club had decided to move onto other targets due to either Napoli or Cajuste’s demands. Now Besiktas have agreed what seems like a bargain, and Jens perhaps not wanting to move to Turkey, it’s opened the door for us to match the deal and finally get it over the line.
