Same person that told me about Morsy leaving weeks ago had said Omari had requested to leave, so wouldn’t surprise me.
I really don’t like when players go down that road but it seems to be a common tactic these days. Did I see Szmodics mention he did similar when trying to get his move from Blackburn to us? Refused to play in their pre season games.
Edit: I should add it doesn’t mean he is refusing to train, just that he’d made his mind up a few weeks ago he wanted to move back to the Prem. [Post edited 24 Jul 10:04]

Hackney et al are already back and training at their parent clubs after the U21's.
The longer we don't see Hutch on the training ground, the more questions will be asked.

Completely agree. He's now tarnished with this when it's almost certainly not true. He's going to want to train whatever so no chance this is true. The right thing to do would be to bin this thread. | |

If it’s true then you can interpret that as that there is no deal done with Brentford and there is an impasse that he’s trying to force open. So basically there isn’t a deal done with Brentford and all sides are playing hardball.

It was pretty much assumed that he was going anyway, so not training with the rest of the group is not unsurprising. He won't be 'not training' that certainly won't help him.
Wouldn't be surprised if he was annoyed that his clause was met, but the club refused it on the basis of the payment schedule either. But if the clause says £35m upfront, or a large proportion upfront, then its his agent he needs to hold to task. |  |

He wouldn't be the first player to sulk because he can't get the move he wants. He's obviously aware of the Brentford interest and probably keen to go there so may well be agitating for a move by refusing to train. |  |

No get it done correctly and for the right price. You don't have a transfer policy based on doing things to appease impatient fans. Same goes for signing players. Sign players of the quality required not the ones that are available quickest. Obviously the quicker you can get those quality ones the better but absolutely clear that's not the case this window and a lot of clubs are in the same situation higher up the championship good chain. | |

If it was the case I think he's being a silly boy. We took him on, and paid exceptionally good money for him. Gave him a platform to perform on a probably a very decent contract .
I know there's not a lot of loyalty either way these days and contracts don't seem to mean zilch.
The main thing for me is that Town get the money they should out of it.
I know many will wish Omari stayed, but the bright lights of the Premier League are a big pull for a player.
My wish for him is that he doesn't go the same way as many young British wing players of the past in that he disappears into obscurity. | | | |

It wouldn't be in his interest not to train. I would not be surprised at all if he doesn't play games. That's more common. Why wouldn't he train? He would need to be fit for any new club.
Szmodics and others didn't stop training.
Omari will be leaving. I think the club won't stand in his way and the fee will just need to be negotiated.
The boy I don't agree with is posting something without knowing it's true. Club and he may mutually agree he doesn't play the matches as well. Unless it's fact an McKenna confirms it then not right to post it. That's just my opinion. | |
