i'm sure we're not going into the season with 3 central midfielders. I fear if Humphreys goes out on loan again, he will we sold, he must be ready for the Championship now surely, stepping in when Cajuste needs a rest against Millwall or Preston at home. (if that's who we were to sign).

I thought it interesting Boniface hasn't had any time with the main squad pre-season. I would have thought he is another option if we're looking to have more than 25 players involved.

As pointed out, Clarke may not be registered at all due to injury. At the start of the summer, I guess we thought Hutchinson would move on. If he doesn't, it gives us another person in that area. I can see Wrexham being in for Burns as well if we make it known he's available (dependent on his recovery from injury). [Post edited 1 Aug 10:20]

Discussions are ongoing around a loan and the conditions of an obligation to buy.
It is thought the obligation to buy would kick in if Ipswich earn promotion back to the Premier League.

Seems pretty unlikely his two options are us and United. I know United were terrible last season but they're still a massive club. If a Prem side comes in for him, it'll be a middling to bottom one. Really don't think we need to be worried about the links to United. |  |
