We need another club to get interested. It's the only way his real value will be met.

£50m please and thankyou

I don't think anyone is going to be shocked when he is sold, but this smells like agent placed talk.

Still.... bidding war please

Is that literally his real value, or the value Real assign to him?

If Dibling is valued by Saints at £45M + add-ons, Omari is the same or more, just depends if someone actually willing to pay it, don't think Everton are for Dibling

It probably is agent talk, but I’m a bit surprised no top clubs have been sniffing around (that we know). Normally you’d get a top performer in an U21 tournament have all sorts of interest. Some of his stats were top draw for the PL last year, so the potential is obviously there.

Lots of high quality stats like dribbling etc but unfortunately for the bigger sides not many assists or goals himself.

a niche perspective

Well that definitely rules him out of playing Friday..if as mckenna had stated, that omaris head wasn't in a good space with the brentford interest ,He will definitely be in outer space with the Milan interest lol..

Yeah true. Fair point. It’s easy to get carried away with our own.

Playing in a side that didn't get many assists or goals.

Context is important.

His stats for the U21 seemed better when playing in a better team in relation to the opposition.

From this, which seems somewhat speculative.

Phil, do you think the Hackney deal is completely dead or do you reckon there could be a slight chance we revisit if no prem clubs come in for him?

I'm well aware of that SB. But what he did for town last year never caught the highlights, the media didn't pick up on him and he wasn't seen as a star not as much as he was seen as one by town fans.

The post I replied to was regarding the big clubs being in for him but for me. Because he didn't get the assists nor the goals this is a big part of why they haven't.

I guess it depends on the nature of the rejection

"No thank you, I am confident I can play in the PL so want to wait for that opportunity"
or
"No thank you, Ipswich is just not for me I want to stay closer to home".

The former I am sure we visit end of the window if we don't sign another CM (as well Cajuste). Gut feel I reckon it could be this, the way its all been reported the player genuinely thinks he is ready for that chance.

Or

(and this will show just how strong the relationship is between McKenna and Omari)

he’s reminded that his best chance of getting a big move is to knuckle down, show up on Friday and demonstrate just how good he is to any prospective buyer.

Win for Omari and a win for Town when (if) the bid comes in.

Whilst a move to Brentford would likely be better for us a club - more chance of a high sell on fee in a few years - I would feel better about losing a top young talent to one of the biggest clubs in Europe, than fooking Brentford.

Whichever way this goes, reading KMc's excellent, honest, compassionate, positive response again in the Currant Bun makes me so proud and full of trust in our club. That reflects very well to potential signings too.

Boss Kieran McKenna said: “Omari, with the speculation around his future at the moment, he didn't feel mentally in the right place to come for the game.

“It's a challenging situation for everyone. He’s a player that we love and we support and we have empathy with, with the year that he’s been through and this important moment in his career.

“We’ll keep working and communicating on that situation as well and hopefully it’ll be the best resolution for the club and for the player.”

Doubt they have more money to spend than Brentford (which is a horrible thought) but I’d love Omari to go and smash it in a European league.
