I know a lot of the fans think a lot of Woolfenden so maybe the club were doing what was best for him . . . after all if Cov were the only club willing to pay the fee, to afford the contract he wants AND going to give him the playing time guarantee is he obviously looking for then it would be pretty bad form for the club to turn it down.

It's not madness, it's reality. Incomings mean outgoings due to squad size and you can only sell to a team that wants to buy at a price they are willing to pay. We can't celebrate the arrivals of last week without expecting outgoings.

I guess McKenna is backing his judgement that Greaves and Kipre will prove to be a better partners for O'Shea that Woolfie. I personally don;t see it that way, but he;s the manager so I have to roll with that.
That being the case then he needs to let him go and you can only sell to a club who wants him. Doesn't seem that against my better judgement there were many suitors for him.

You would hope so, otherwise its an odd signing for them. They've conceded more goals this season than we have, admittedly they've scored a heap more too. Might sound a bit ridiculous to some as we're sat on 0.75pgg but I'm not worried about Coventry, or Sheffield United. If we can't outpace them with the squad we've got then we've got much bigger problems than them having Woolfenden and Ogbene. | | | |
