Who do you consider our best player? Top three: 00:45 - Oct 7 with 5589 viewsThe_Romford_Blue

We’ve so many really good players but not one standout. It’s not a year where we’ve a Delap for example who you just knew from early doors was top drawer and a future England player.

Whereas now we’ve more players of a higher level but not one standout superstar.

Philogene arguably will be there and is our next Hutch. Azor IS 100% the next Kante.

But I’m going to say for me it’s Cajuste.

Interesting that almost everyone seems to agree on those three in some order.


They are the ones who've had the most impact at this stage. Which is not quite the same as "best".

Kipre!!? Seriously? He's done well coming into the team but he's not even our best CB. He will probably end up being our 3rd best that we have. Not sure why the clamour to have Kipre over Greaves based on such a small sample size. Kipre keeps his place no argument from me. I do think Greaves will win it back though.

I'm trying so hard to understand...... but I have no idea why Cajuste is so popular. Apart from doing 2 or 3 fancy things a game. Then he gets taken off after 60mins.
Absolutely brilliant for the first 20-25 mins against Pompey. Big contribution to Philogene's goal. Then fades. Then gets taken off. And that was the best game ive seen him play. Not enough to be one of our best players.

Davis, Matusiwa, Philogene- glad to see those players getting the plaudits. Matusiwa- best signing this summer.

Best technically? First name on the team sheet? Cos at the moment our best player first name in the team sheet and our most successful new signing is Furlong without a doubt, since he came in our form has only gone one way.

I think probably people are putting Matusiwa ahead of Cajuste because so far Matusiwa looks a better player and is performing at a higher level more consistently than Cajuste. Just a hunch, but I think that's probably it.

No-one's suggesting going overboard. Some are suggesting give players time, which you weren't doing when this thread started;

This was 4 games in... where you were declaring you'd been proved right against those other fools. Four fecking games.

You can trot out the "game of opinions" cliche as much as you want, your opinion to write him off and say he's not good enough, four games in, is a bobbins opinion. In my opinion.
