What was that about? Azor taking Jaden to task for holding the ball too long, losing it, and letting Watford break?

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

As much as I’m enjoying Philogenes brilliance I am nervous that he doesn’t appear with the group. Celebrates on his own… didn’t even react to hirsts second goal at qpr… maybe I’m reading too much into it.

I dont see that. I see a young player running his socks off

Our captain just isn’t a leader. Which is obviously bad anyway but when he’s replacing Morsy.. it’s disastrous

I would be getting Morsy back ASAP. Our midfield itself just doesn’t look right, but we seriously miss his leadership. The amount of times O’Shea p*sass around with it at the back but none of them seem to give him a rocket? Morsy would be the first to let him know

So do I. Philogene is a terrific player who every other team in that division would take in a heartbeat. Same with Clarke.

I was pleased to see the players having a go at each other. Obviously it ought to be behind closed doors or on the training pitch, but it shows they care and as a team want to improve. As Mills said afterwards, it’s nothing and will be easily sorted.

Its so weird to me that people suggest this. His hard work off the ball, and ball winning skills, are one of his greatest strengths! Its just so wide of the mark

Not basing it on his football, he's not a bad player. But he's not a happy chap most of the time, seems aloof from the rest of the squad. I think he believes he's better than he actually is.

"I think he believes he's better than he actually is."

Based on what? If you're going to throw comments like that out there you should probably have something to back it up past the fact you think he looks miserable.

I'd imagine every player thinks they're better than they are. If you haven't got self confidence and belief in your abilities then there's no chance you make it as a footballer

Such a nothing statement to try and make Philogene sound like a wrong'un for some reason

It happens sometimes. I remember Magilton and Johnson having an argument. It happened more in the 80's. I remember a Wolves defender telling Hans Segers in goal that he was ""Trucking White!" that was funny..
It'll all blow over.
Anyone who's been at work for a decade or more, knows arguments happen in the workplace, bits usually quickly resolved.
Interesting how Philogene is now a "wrong un" after being a legend after his goal against the Canaries though.

I know for a fact he is a unique personality who largely keeps himself to himself but he absolutely is not a bad egg or a player with a bad attitude.

Assuming you mean along the lines of race. Omari's body language sometimes was mentioned. Just traits in young men that mean nothing really. I think Philogene despite his slight size is quite feisty and gets stuck in, one of our brighter sparks last night. I had him for a 2025 Ulrich Le Pen after seeing him a couple of times and he has way surpassed that. Too easy to jump to lazy assumptions. We all do it.

That's nonsense. Look again at the celebrations of his goals against Sheffield United, Portsmouth and Norwich.

There's some proper cringe-worthy stuff in this thread.

Play FM26 a couple of times and think you're Pep.

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

Traits in young men which are raised far more often on here in respect of young black guys. To be frank.

Subconscious, I'm sure, but it seems to be a thing.

Him and Clarke looked so 1 dimensional tonight.
Cut inside,, run into a group of players.
Lose the ball.
Egeli on the other hand has the defender not knowing which way he will go.

He feints right then goes left

Why? You can in fact infer a lot more than you think from his body language, interaction with teammates and general demeanour including how he celebrates goals.

It could also be that he's just unusually quiet and possibly awkward compared to most footballers, which is exactly what you get from his interviews, but sure, question his attitude.

Why don't you outline how you can infer those things without any first hand knowledge of Jaden and his personality?

What's that supposed to mean. If you are linking it to race, you need to wind your neck in, you're the one bringing that up, nobody else. Never crossed my mind. Maybe you have some sort of repressed ingrained racism that you deal with by trying to lay it at the feet of others.
