If Starmer even THINKS about going back to normal relations with Trump after his non-apology about the UK troops, and the sickening, disgusting, downright evil events in Minneapolis today, he can get to feck.

From the footage seen it looks like the executed was stepping in to help a woman who was being manhandled by the Trumpstapo, he was then pepper sprayed not once but TWICE, they all jumped on him, beat him, and then the shots were fired.

He was a nurse.

According to the police chief, the worst thing this guy did was to receive parking tickets.

There's also footage from someone driving past just prior to the shooting and the offensive weapon he is brandishing at that point is a phone.

And even if he did had a gun on him, the photo of a gun that's going around seems mighty clean for being on someone who has been shot multiple times

Enough.

Anyone who provides support be it at government level, all the way down to folk on message boards and social media, to that punt in the White House from this country are as despicable, amoral, inadequate, scared, insecure, pathetic as he is.

“National Republicans have made it nearly impossible for a Republican to win a statewide election in Minnesota,” he said.
As Madel put it, he said he had spoken with US citizens detained by ICE in Minnesota “due to the color of their skin”, including law enforcement officers stopped during what he described as pretextual encounters.
“Driving while Hispanic is not a crime,” he said, two days after federal agents fatally shot Pretti even though video showed him restrained and not holding a weapon. “Neither is driving while Asian.”

'Explaining his decision to drop out of the gubernatorial race, Madel said: “At the end of the day, I have to look my daughters in the eye and tell them: ‘I believe I did what was right.’ And I am doing that today.”

no - the documents are there to see that he is deployed as an agitator and part of the group of people who are out there to prevent law enforcement doing their jobs - its not propoganda - its really not even my opinion - its out there if you deploy even a modicum of effort to find it - unfortunately if you watch the BBC you will not find it !
the simple fact is that if a country has proper law enforcement - the UK does not - countries like France, Spain and Italy to mention but a few - do - if you get in their face and prevent them from upholding the law you will get taken down .... and rightly so .... I am living abroad and respect the rules of the country i live in .... Minnesota is a shit show of illegal immigration and the biggest fraud in U.S history - perpertrated by Illegal immigrants - I am trying to move my family to the USA and I cannot - thats fair because at present that is the law - i follow the law .. i pay taxes, i do everything i can to follow the law - why should people be able to break the law and then go on to commit massive crimes and people sympathise with them ?? things are changing and rightly so

What's the party line mate? That cold blooded murder is wrong?

Phil, Gav and Mark give posters a very long rope and allow a multitude of opinions to flow and develop.
Occasionally a line is crossed.
The line was more than crossed.
I genuinely support your defence of freedom of speech but this is not about a restriction of freedom of speech. They were offered that freedom but completely abused it and have suffered the consequences.
The correct decision in my opinion but others may disagree.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

My recent posts show how appalled I am with the recent events in The USA in general and Minnesota in particular involving ICE. They also show my feelings on Trump and his junta to the extent that I have had to calm myself down before posting to avoid being on the wrong side of the forum's rules. My feeling on free speech is that it is not designed to be free to say that puppies are cute to but free to say things that wind people up and anger them. I just want to be clear on that.

Orwell put the position on free speech well, writing at a time when there was a lot of pro-Soviet sentiment.

"The issue involved here is quite a simple one: Is every opinion, however unpopular — however foolish, even — entitled to a hearing? Put it in that form and nearly any English intellectual will feel that he ought to say ‘Yes’. But give it a concrete shape, and ask, ‘How about an attack on Stalin? Is that entitled to a hearing?’, and the answer more often than not will be ‘No’. In that case the current orthodoxy happens to be challenged, and so the principle of free speech lapses."

I doubt we're very much apart mate. I'm sure we share an absolute disgust for the Trump regime and remain dumbfounded by those who still support him.

Indeed- the man had ‘free speech’ he used it to boot lick and defend fascism. No one called for him to be banned, Phil decided he didn’t want that on his board, as is his perogotive.

I’d defend anyone’s right to say pretty much anything, but no one is free from consequences and the consequence of siding with fascists is people are going to think you’re a c**t and you won’t be welcome places.

I think this incident and the backtracking in Greenland shows that Trump is not as much in control of the aeratus and mechanisms of the US state as he or the rest of us thought. Big business and senior Republicans have obviously had a word in his shell-like

I understand where you are coming from and it’s sometimes hard to know where the line should be. Just winding people up and not towing the party line is one thing, but when that party line is deliberately spreading racist disinformation then they are clearly in breach of the rules of the site.

Phil’s generally fairly level handed with these things, as others have said. I think it’s a fair banishment.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
