He was forever in the ear of the ref, and its something we were crying out for. We had others before him who led by example, but we were as soft as shit for far too long. There's a way to go about it but I always used to have my captains in central midfield when I coached for that reason.

Chappers and Morsy each did one half of the dark arts with gusto. We had a very "streetwise" team in 23/24. Furlong's the complete package.

He was hard but not really a sh1thouse.

It's the wrong answer to the 'last' one. He's certainly in the conversation for the best. Garner is a great shout but Norwood more recent if not as good at it. Bonne and Norwood together were good at it. Alan Judge for the left field option? He did get a ref to headbutt him.

I mean, he got banned for punching an Accrington player in a off the ball incident. Got away with a really nasty foul against Plymouth too. He definitely toned it down over time, but in his first 2 seasons here he was def a sh1thouse player.

I'd defo have Morsy as a sh1thouse 💯. More leaving a foot in, little off the ball things and his main one was the post whistle interactions. Occasionally right up to a victims face. I do recall him against Mateta after the whistle. Celebrating very much into his face. It was semi out of order but also in part to Mateta playing very well that day and probably giving a bit to Moray in the game. He's not a chirpy sh1thouser and more respectful off the pitch. But he was a sh1thouse none the less

Was writing similar as you were. Dai Cornell would be another left field one but 💯. Anyone remember him yapping away against a penalty taker. 😂

Christophe the octopus Berra - the amount of fouls, manhandling in the box and back chat he got away with was unreal . Class defender though

For me who was the very definition…. Left a foot in a fair few times and got away with it. He reminded me in a way of Tony Adams - would stud you half way up your leg and clatter you, then as soon as the FT whilst goes would stick his arm round you and ask how the family is. We’ve had a few gnarly diminutive strikers in recent years who fit the bill too… Norwood Paul Taylor Chopra
