At full time was shameful and embarrassing.
Most of you don't know me from Adam; I'm just a regular Dad who takes my young Son home and away.
We have seen some great performances, some mediocre ones and some poor ones too.
Today was not great defensively and we were as disappointed as anyone to see us concede 3 further goals after being 3-2 up.
However, this does not excuse some of the vitriolic behaviour that we witnessed today.
We sat just above the tunnel and as the players came off the pitch, there were hundreds of fans booing, effing and jeffing at the players, dropping the C-bomb, and using the various finger gestures...even at McKenna.
He came over to appreciate the fans for their support and after witnessing the above, he soon disappeared up the tunnel.
Dara O'Shea came off the pitch holding his hands up in a 'sorry' style manner - he got nothing but heaps and heaps of abuse. I know he didn't have his best game, but I'm not sure if this is the best way to give him encouragement...
I understand that it's a passionate game and we as a fan base, were disappointed about the manner of defeat but for goodness sake, this type of reaction has to stop.
Get behind the boys, like the song says "follow the Town, up or down"

There are some fans who take a defeat badly.
It was a very frustrating day and a very sad loss to watch.
Regarding the previous fa cup game at Wrexham.
No excuses for a football team to go into a FA Cup game with no emphasis on winning.
McKenna then offering soft excuses which is hardly no consolation to yhe 1000 odd travelling supporters.
If the truth is known the club had no intention in taking part on a cup run.
Then, to go back to the same football ground with a stronger team ( we are to believe) and again lose an important game quite miserably..

My Son has seen similar scenes away at Middlesbrough and Oxford this season.

Itâs depressing stuff, and sadly not unique to us. Humour, decency and patience seem in ever shorter supply these days. I donât know why. A lot of people blame social media, but I canât see how thatâs the cause, and certainly not at games. All social media does is let people highlight to the world who they are. Why theyâre rude and obnoxious arses in the first place is another question. Bad parenting? No role models? Thick as a Boxing Day turd? Who knows. |  |

Not that suffering through years of rubbish makes conceding 5 goals any more bearable of course. Losing like that sucks. But given what weâve been through over the last 25 years or more, itâs not bad enough to sh*t yourself in public (imho  ). | |

My friend and I left just as the whistle went in order to catch the 17.17 train back.
The boos started ringing out then which was bad enough but it is very to sad to hear what then happened in terms of vitriol aimed at the players.
What I don't understand is how is people think that such behaviour is going to help the players' confidence for the game at Watford.
Someone above mentioned the Charlton game where the behaviour of a lot of fans towards the team was also appalling but apart from that game and a game at Brentford near the end of the McCarthy era, I can't remember before an away game where the fans have been other than supportive of the team at the end.
For me it's follow the Town, up or down, and there have been an awful lot of downs these last 40 years. But it has been noticeable this season that there has been something of a drop off in the level of support during games from our away fans. [Post edited 21 Feb 22:29]

It was disappointing, so many errors but it isn't as though they went out of their way to loose the game in the manner they did. The reaction from some of our fans is harsh - these are young people who feel the stress - reactions like this won't help them. Imagine if we had a bad day in the office - would we want everyone chastising us, or rather would we want support to get through.
Hopefully this does what happened at Bristol Rovers and sends us on a winning streak

I donât do away games these days but I used to and saw more disappointing and humiliating matches than you could count. I never did that. Or at home either. I was there when on two occasions against oddly Sheffield W the players gave up. Threw in the towel. We re outraged. Unacceptable. On one occasion we walked out before the pitch invasion.
On the others, including the Norwich 5-1, we stayed to the end and didnât applaud, didnât moan about it, but walked out and raged at radio Suffolk. Abusing players is a cowards way out. Try it to somebodyâs face - but book a meat wagon to A&E first is my advice. Counter productive and weak. No guts. No balls. Pathetic.
If you canât tolerate bad days youâll never appreciate good days. Itâs sport but the principle applies to real life too. If you canât understand what that is, take up crochet, FM25 with a milky drink or something. |  | | |

I hate to pull you up on this again, but we had an allocation of about 1200 today. Everyone there would have been to most away games since the club was formed (a slight exaggeration) so why every week do you blame any negativity from our crowd from "entitled morons who jumped on the bandwagon". Maybe they just got too used to the good times and then gave a pass to the Premiership year, whatever it's all a bit entitled isn't it, a criticism which I bet many of them happily dish out, I've seen my fair share of poor away days this year but there's no excuse for behaviour like this. |  |

Sorry your boy had to see that not nice. That said always been like that when we lose hasn't it? I remember Blackpool away just as covid struck where we lost a group of fans singing "I hope Paul Lambert gets corona virus", nothing new.
But those fans have probably spent over ÂŁ500 in a week to watch their A team perform worse than the B team so understand their frustration but not saying it's right. At 3-2 we should have dug in instead we handed them the initiative, the manner of the defeat likely annoyed people more than anything else. | |
