I’m not sure Churchill would have approved bombing a sovereign nation on the flimsiest rationale that in reality posed minimal threat and the killing of 1000 civilians and counting

A couple of observations.
1. It's a bit rich for comments relating to Churchill to come from a draft dodger in a country which entered WW2 late. There is no comparison between the threat that Britain faced in WW2 and the so-called threat that Iran posed. And where the hell were the Americans for the first few years?
2. Papers like the Mail and Express, and parties like the Tories and Reform, will seek to milk his comments for all they are worth, but given the majority of people in this country don't support what the US is doing in Iran, it seems to me that Starmer's approach is in keeping with the views of the vast majority in this country. As a result, I am not sure Trump's comments will do Starmer much harm but they have certainly exercised Sky News. [Post edited 4 Mar 7:03]
