Its going to be awful isnt it. Players high fiving cheerleaders, half times shows, PKs instead of penalties, perhaps they'll bring back the the old way that American league used to do pens where the player dribbles towards the goal and the keeper comes out?
Trump everywhere telling us he has the best balls. Barron too, looming over it all looking like some kind of super villain feom a minions movie. Corn dogs and Miller light......
Just wheel out Diana Ross to miss a pen with and oversized ball into a collapsible goal and get on with the footy

Largely agreed, but I thought the US-style shoot-out was a better test of skill than a penalty kick, while the no offsides outside the 30 yard line didn't seem a bad idea either as it spread out the play.

There's no way you could do those types of shoot outs anymore, not in a VAR (and cheating players) world.

Will they have that little remote controlled car to deliver the match ball again?
Honestly don't think im going to bother with watching it this summer. I know that makes me a bit of a cliché, but I think I'll just enjoy the summer instead.
know what you mean, but only because I've been watching every Arsenal game for ages and am sick of the stress and tension. I'm actually dreading the last 3 now. need a football breather

When was the remote controlled car?
I remember USA '94 brough us:
- Player in / Player out captions, rather than Player on / Player off when dubs happened. - Golf buggys to take injured players off.
The best bit about USA '94 was discovering 'unknown' players like Stoichkov, Hagi, Romario and Bebeto etc. Back then even seasoned internationals could be virtual unknowns in the UK.
When I went to the Paralympics in London in that magnificent (now desecrated) stadium, I the lulls between events, they were having races on the athletics track with those remote controlled Minis they used to fetch the shot puts and discus' (Disci?)

I went to a game at Chelsea in the 1980s when the half time entertainment consisted of a series of races on a screen between a pixelated bus and a motor bike.

I just want them to have a host country that actually LIKES football again.
My eldest son works under Mark Wharburton as a coach at academy level in Florida and he says that “soccer” gets very good attendances across the country and is constantly on TV.

One in each country? Or are you being sarcastic, I can never tell
Yes one in each country. But they didn't feel the need when other tournaments were spread over more than one country, so why are there individual ceremonies now?
Not that I'll watch any of them, but you see my point

Premier league, bundesliga, champions league and EFL are all constantly on TV here. MLS not so much.

Mark Warburton - there's a name from the past! I'd forgotten what a promising manager he seemed to be at Brentford, got Rangers promoted & then fell away at middling Championship clubs.
