Greens confirmed not to contest Clacton. on 09:21 - Jul 8 by giant_stow
If there's a second by-election, I wonder if Nige may pay a price with the electorate for wasting everyone's time? Don't some people tend to get the hump with too many trips to the ballet box?
"Look, I don't wanna be the same as everybody else. That's why I'm a Mod, see?"

I love dressing up in my pink leotard, tutu and white stockings to go to the ballet box. Highlight of my year.
Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!

You'd think the centre-left for once might be able to unite around one candidate - Nige "only" got 48% last time round. So could be beaten. Binface wont do it, nor will the likely slew of local nobodies that will give it a shot as independents.
Nothing but the right will ever win in Clacton, there's a reason why it was specifically picked for Farage

Or actually vote for Count Binface.
Calling it now...Binface to get at least 20% of the votes...anything over a third would be humiliation for Nige.
Will be enough of an embarrassment to just to be involved in a farcical 2-horse race; Reform can't even play their anti-establishment card if the only other candidate is running on policies like forcing ice cream vans to sell 99's for 99p and nationalising Adele

I'm really enjoying the blow-back from Reform now they realise how badly they've fcked it. Lots of talk of Count Binface being a representative of the 'Uniparty' for instance - hahaha!!!
Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

There's only one thing that Reform can do to prevent losing Clacton - they have to persuade Count Binface to join Reform.

Count Binface should listen to Farage and look at his own security.
I think we would all like to see him escorted by seven members of the Binsguard.
Bin bag armour. Brush and dustpan on their belts. Mesh bins for helmets. It practically writes itself.
That’s the way to play this. Make it an utter farce and ridicule Farage non-stop. He absolutely hates people taking the piss out of him and being dismissed as a joke.

Binface aside, it would be decent if a local independent who just wants to represent their area in Parliament would stand up to him and his lack of work as being an MP. A two horse race between a man who's caused a stunt and a strong local candidate could result in Farage looking foolish when he loses.
At the moment he'll win with just mostly his hardcore vote turning out to back him.
I believe that there is now an independent standing in the name of Ollie Granger.
Felixstowe lad who I went to school with and played football with through my teens. I can’t comment on his political opinions or standards but I do know he’s a bloody good, genuine guy who would get my vote should I be voting there

I think we're at risk of giving Clacton too much credit, the overwhelming voxpops f I'm the streets I've seen (from all politically angled outlets) overwhelmingly see Nige as having been aTtAcKeD bY lAyBuh, and not only does he represent Clacton, he will probably turn up one day in their local to stand his round

I was going to say we’re so far through the looking glass myself, but only such a metaphor can capture the utter lunacy of effectively having no PM, an incoming PM with absolutely no plan or strategy other than opening an office near his house, the meltdown of our economy, etc, etc. and the biggest story is a man with a dustbin on his head
