… In Brexit. And that Burnham is lying. When it’s proven they did.
What impact their social media influence - on scale - caused to the Leave vote is of course open to interpretation.
BUT - what is now emerging is that Ukraine have now bombed Russian server farms. And the level of Trump promoting accounts have significantly diminished.
It’s almost like our biggest security threat - Putin - is pro Trump/Reform.
It’s almost like Reform are bad for the UK?!
Letting that dangerous idiot into our club to use our brand remains a stain.

Oh my goodness!
That's a Grizzly Bear and they are about ten feet away.
A bloke walked past behind it at less than. 6 feet away.
They are in a position of equal risk to the person who climbed into the Tiger enclosure.
The whole of that area should have been shut down, and everybody cleared away, until it had gone.
Utter lunacy.
from the size of it it looks to be a young juvenile bear. Fully grown, he would tower over that trestle table. Seems a lot more interested in the pastries than human flesh.
"The latest YouGov poll has shown Reform UK falling to third place, behind Labour and the Conservatives, for the first time since the general election."
"Nigel Farage reached a record low net favourability rating of -45 after a major donations scandal led to key staff resignations."

I think public standards in politicians are just so low and continually falling.
It’s such an avalanche of blatant lies or u turns. Didn’t Starmer repeatedly say he wasn’t going to have a resignation honours list? Although he also said he wasn’t going g to resign as an MP
Then there is Angela’s use of the £15m community cohesion fund.
And more and more and more

Interesting choices of examples. An honours list in which other parties also get their nominations, an obviously human change of mind and then reference to a 15m fund when the reality is that one small part of it went to a programme which sought to combat bigotry and division after the Southport murders and seemingly crossed the line into partisanship without any obvious involvement of rayner.
All straight out of three Tory press Hitlist.
Why not mention proroguing parliament. For instance.
Notably all put forward despite no obvious link to the post under reply. Just propaganda.

This is the frequently given response though isn't it?
The Tories have been voted out. Retreating with around 120 MP having had a healthy majority. Why would you refer back to them in comparing the current standards of this government. I didn't vote for them in 2024 and voters deserted them completely.
The list is just endless though isn't it? Rachel Reeves CV, convicted criminal Louise Haigh, Mandelson, Rayner resigning ver stamp duty, Mike Amesbury knocking out a constituent, the anti-corruption minister resigning over.......corruption, McSweeney's phone going missing.
Are these all right-wing hit jobs?
And yet there is surprise that Reform and alternative parties get so much traction with their views and ideas.
The link to the previous post was discussing the relative polling performance of the main parties. Labour hovers around 25%. What I don't understand, is that if people who are genuinely on the centre-left continue not to apply the same standards they would historically have expected from their politicians then it will be damaging.

You continue to reach for one sided examples to create a narrative. Step AWAY from the Telegraph.

Quite. It’s bleedingly obvious they’re interfering. There have be been plenty of studies and reports that have provided evidence that Russia is subverting our democracy. It probably not possible to say how much of an impact they had compared to our own press/politicians, but yes I agree it wouldn’t have needed to be much of an impact to have potentially been significant to the result.
The drop off in bot farm traffic promoting MAGA following Ukraine taking out a Russian data centre is fascinating stuff.
I don't think it even matters that much how successful they were, the very fact that they tried to interfere tells you everything you need to know about how damaging Brexit was to our country and our allies, and what a bonus it was for our enemies.
The number of useful idiots they were able to mobilise is a national embarrassment.
Interestingly, the Scottish independence movement may find themselves with similar questions to answer, no doubt Putin will be equally keen to see them succeed.

You continue to reach for one sided examples to create a narrative. Step AWAY from the Telegraph.
Because clearly, The Telegraph must have used a time machine to plant a fraud conviction on Louise Haigh, personally doctored Rachel Reeves’s CV, hired a deepfake actor to play Mike Amesbury on CCTV, and forced Tulip Siddiq to resign from the anti-corruption unit over a foreign corruption probe. It's a massive, multi-agency right-wing conspiracy that apparently includes the Metropolitan Police, the BBC, and reality itself.
It must be incredibly comforting to live in a world where every single government scandal is just a fictional plot line cooked up by Fleet Street. Back on Earth, Cabinet ministers resigning and Chancellors rewriting their histories aren't a "narrative"—they're just the news. If your only defence of a 25% polling disaster is "the bad man reads the wrong newspaper," then you haven't just lowered the bar for this government, you’ve buried it.

Stop sidestepping.
You are literally asserting that the reason people struggle to have faith in politics is all labour issues, without a mention of the much more significant issues which heset other parties. Rather than addressing that criticism you continue a gish gallop of further allegations such that it is not reasonable for anyone to deal with each one. Utterly transparent.
Siddiq, of course, has not been found guilty of anything. Michelle mone however...
Your disingenuous narrative building is exactly the sort of stuff that leads to a position where Amany American voters who are caught up in echo chambers are literally convinced that the high prices and oil issues are down to Joe Biden...

I’m not building a narrative; I’m looking at the public record.
When you have to shield the current Cabinet by shouting "But what about the Tories!" or "But what about America!", you've already lost the argument. The Tories were punished by the voters. They are gone. I referenced that in my earlier posts, I discussed it with my friends at the time as I wasn't on here.
If your baseline for a successful centre-left government is "well, at least we haven't been convicted of PPE fraud like Michelle Mone," then you’ve set the bar very low. People aren't losing faith in politics because of a "Telegraph narrative"—they're losing faith because the people who promised to restore integrity to Downing Street are busy losing their phones, rewriting their CVs, and resigning from anti-corruption units.
My reality to this situation was probably around 2020/2021, when it hits the last few remaining Labour supporters then let me know.

That is utterly disingenuous. You are cherry picking the public record' in painfully transparent fashion, and in exact echo of the tory press approach. You then seek to put words in my mouth and shift goalposts yet again talking about a low bar for a centre left government. Something I have not remotely commented on.
Similarly I have not shielded the current cabinet as you bizarrely allege. Rather I am calling out the purposely biased narrative you keep pursuing. I don't say 'what about America' as you disingenuously claim. Rather I pointed to the impact and effect of the type of blinkered narrative building you engage in. I am not and never have been a labour voter by the way...
Your argument has shifted from 'people are fed up with politicians, with purely labour examples' to something else entirely.
Its embarrassing. I am inclined to put you on the div list as you are not an honest interloquitor. But may refrain because the world and board benefits from this stuff being fact checked and called out regularly.

You’re not the first person on here to resort to personal barbs and name-calling when the argument runs out, and it’s not going to deter me.
If pointing out objective, front-page political news from the BBC and Sky News makes me a "dishonest interlocutor," then I look forward to your fact-check. Go ahead and disprove the lost phone. Disprove the corrected CV. Disprove the anti-corruption minister resigning over a corruption probe. You can’t, which is precisely why you're resorting to personal insults.
You explicitly brought up Michelle Mone to defend the current Cabinet. Pointing out that you are using a disgraced former opposition peer to benchmark the current administration isn't putting words in your mouth; it is simply highlighting the subterranean bar you have set.
If you want to put me on your "div list" (again, a pejorative term questioning my intelligence) to protect your echo chamber from the public record, then go for it. At least then I won't have to put up with the personal attacks.

Not one personal barb. I have described what you are posting. It is again, disingenuous to try to dismiss criticism by claiming it is name calling, when that has not happened.
You then go on about disproving issues which I have not even commented on whilst ignoring the criticism of the very obvious cherry picking and narrative building. If you have to pretend that someone is arguing something they have not said, you are not being intellectually honest in the discussion. A prime example of what I am getting at, in fact.
I did not mention mone to defend the current cabinet I mentioned her to highlight the cherry picking and narrative building you were engaged in. You picked someone who has not been found guilty of anything in preference to the gross and appalling conduct that has been proven re others.
Another disingenuous statement.
You have turned a thread about farage and Russian influence into a list of things you say labour have done wrong. And have done so in a transparently biased manner.
You put up a headline of rayner and a 15m fund. Casual observers connect the dots and start to accept a narrative that she and others are involved in multi million pound corruption. In line with the telegraph reporting. The reality is that two councils independent of rayner, chose to use a tiny fraction of the fund to support ella baker school of organizing in respect of community training.some of that was incorrectly used by that organisation in ways which overstepped the line and may be clawed back. And rightly so.
This is narrative building and dangerous as well as disingenuous.

I shouldn't bother with that poster, they are the sort that thrives on attention and the less they get the better.
But to pay them a compliment, I no longer suspect a bot in light of the reduction following Ukraine's attack on the alleged Russian facility...

You always hide behind "personal attacks" when your posting is unravelled. It's really fascinating, you try to come off as intellectual and reasonable, but you're not.
You're not the only one who tries this approach and pushes one-sided agendas badly. Please don't be deterred; it's funny watching you flounder every time you fall over your own failings and point fingers.
People pointing out what you're doing and how bad you are at it aren't "personal attacks" they're demonstrations of why you can't construct a decent point on here time and again.

The country has gone buh.
It’ll never not be funny to me that you instantly hated Burnham despite having no actual reason other than he’s a Labour man but yet for someone so patriotic literally ignore every bit of evidence that Farage hates this country and has done more bad for it than anyone political in the history of England.

Having previously pointed out his clear cherry picking of evidence across a number of debates I was also accused of "personal attacks" and even "bullying".
It's clear tactic to shut down the debate once the narrative has been disproven or even challenged and thus I no longer engage with said poster.
