In-house matchday commentary next season 19:22 - Mar 29 with 2221 viewsZx1988

Interesting move. Any idea if this will have implications for Radio Suffolk?

Definitely a new kit manufacturer as well I reckon. Otherwise he’d have just said it’ll be Adidas again?

I have to say that I like the Radio Suffolk commentary. I know Brenner can get a bit overexcited when the opposition have chances, but he's a good commentator and I think Mills is excellent too. Very perceptive.

Agreed - looks to be a new manufacturer on the horizon.

Perhaps I'm overthinking this, but tying that in with mentions of Ed Sheeran and the suggestion that the new setup might reduce/eliminate supply issues, as well as the Ed x ITFC merchandise that's been sold...

Could we perhaps be bringing manufacture back in-house as we did with Punch, but with some sort of Ed x ITFC branding on it?

Following a bit of a trend as quite a few clubs have done this. I’m not sure what the benefits to clubs are. They did it down here at Swansea - it’s ok. An in house option can be better if done well, but the packaging around it (pre-match, half time, post-match) can be very amateur as well. All depends who they use as anchors, pundits, etc.

Unfortunately not, same rules apply. Although VPN is probably still going to be a workaround.

How does this work with away games for video coverage? Do we just setup as normal and the home team takes a cut?

No, Radio Suffolk will do their own thing, the club just won't take their commentary for iFollow or TownTV or whatever they're going to call it.

Agreed - Brenner is good but Mills is fantastic.

I’ll be gutted if it’s not those two on iFollow, to be honest.

Partly just sentimental because I’ve listened to Town games on RS since I was about 7, but also the level of insight Mills offers is better than most national co-commentators, imo.
