The important question on 12:45 - Jan 13 with 2611 views | OldFart71 | When I was at work I used to put the pastie in the microwave for a couple of minutes. Take it out and then stick it under the grill. I got a hot pastie with crispy pastry that way. Oven is probably best, but work didn't supply one.

There are some heretics on here! A good Cornish pasty is food of the gods. Meat one, not that vegan nastiness. Not a fan of ginsters and it’s rare to find a really good one. Needs plenty of potato, veg, meat and gravy, but in the right balance. Tolerable cold, but a poem hot. There was a bakery off Queen Victoria St in London that used to do lovely ones hot, but since packing in work I’ve not actually had one, sadly. Cornish pastie with additional gravy and chips. Mmmm.

Indeed, Cornish pasties are great and there are ones up North somewhere that have savoury one side and sweet the other. But Ginsters....sorry a no from me.

Absolutely. Go down to Cornwall and Devon and you will find hundreds of outlets selling decent local made pasties. The Cornish scoff at the Ginsters rubbish as an affront to their identity.

The important question on 18:30 - Jan 13 with 2093 views | Pinewoodblue | Ironically the best Pasties are made in Plymouth by Ivor Dewdney Pasties, you can pick up one from their van outside the Wetherspoons Pub not too far from Plymouth’s ground. Start eating it, nice and warm, on your way to the ground and finish it, cold, at half time.
