Oh I don't know. They took the easily 3rd best team to penalties after 210 mins. That's after a win at home and a loss away in the league. So it pretty much went as you'd expect; very tight but they're not quite at the same level. |  |

Wed being 'superb' was down to how poor Posh were and a total lack of desire to even keep the ball and try to advance down the pitch. It was woeful tactics from Ferguson, at 2-0 they had to change it somehow not continue with more of the same. And if my captain was that poor and disinterested I would be livid. | | | |

It was a poor performance. I didn't really see it as spineless. They defended for their lives but they were so poor in possession. Yes they did need to be be braver and come out but this was more how they set up tactically.
I didn't think Sheffield Wednesday even played well. They look very slow and direct + Bannan.
But We'd did give it absolutely everything. They left nothing out there. Piled on the pressure more through hard work and being a much stronger side physically. Peterborough couldn't change the momentum or their system mid game.
One thing I will say is they should have won in extra time. A goal up and an absolute stonewall red card for flint. Ref did not fancy the outcome of giving that. But can't fault how Wed dug themselves out from nowhere. Fair play to them. One for their fans to remember for ever. | |
