"If the players can't be bothered to turn up, why should we?"

Part of me feels sorry for them. Part of me finds this all hilarious.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

This seems to be the new fashion in football. Fans walking away as early as possible. You see it on tv if a team goes a couple of goals down. People absolutely streaming out. I find it incredibly odd. It seems to be a very recent thing. You might see a few leave in the past but now it's hundreds. It's like some people can't wait to throw the towel in.

The play offs are mental. Get an early goal and who knows what can happen?

Truly impaired.

It would be hard to motivate yourself to show up to the second leg of a tie you’ve almost certainly already lost. The collapse in form means it’s likely too raw for them to appreciate the season they’ve had and applaud the players, but arriving just to boo the team would be pathetic for obvious reasons. So do you just go and mope and/or hope for a miracle?

After all their crowing back in February, it is hilarious as you say.

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

I think I would still go. A miracle is needed but they do sometimes happen in football. Imagine if you didn't go and then Sheff Weds got an early 2-0 lead...

You go to the match hoping for an "I was there" moment to tell the grandchildren.

They could probably flog a load of returned tickets to Norwich fans if they promise to play in their yellow away kit again. Give the Norfolk trophy dodgers a bona fide reason to hold another open-topped bus celebration for a losing semi final in 25 years time.

I went to the second leg of the Charlton debacle in 98. We’d lost at home and knew we’d lose. Zero expectation, no idea why I bothered. Nothing better to do I suppose. Lost 1-0, a total waste of an evening. Desperate. We’d gone into those play offs on a really good run of form since about Christmas too, yet down the pan we went in the time honoured style.

I understand many Wednesdayites attitude to next weeks game, but if I had a ticket, I’d still go.

To be fair at 2-0 down, wedensday fans were singing and trying to give the team a boost, but Peterborough were just better at the end of the day, giving the tickets back Is just ridiculous, should pack the stadium out, and try rattle Peterborough, like you say, early goal and those players could crumble. Got to give it a go.

Not feeling sorry for them. The arrogance in February has come back to bite them and it's not just us laughing - Plymouth, Barnsley and Derby are very much enjoying this having been on the back of their owlalk and twitter feeds.
And they're coin throwing, dodgy offside and elbowing Burns (then moaning when their player was rightful suspended.
Hilarious.

Imagine if in May 2019 Liverpool fans threw the towel in after a 3-0 loss to Barcelona. Barcelona, not Peterborough United. I can understand them being down, but returning tickets, going there to barrack their own players ffs. Two early-ish goals and it's game on. They face a mountain, but mountains can be climbed.

Collapse in form? I’m not sure - for the last 5 or 6 games they pretty much matched us. They’ve been in good form - but 4.0 at Posh is a really, really poor result in such an important match.

To put this into perspective doesn't this show how good Town were in their run in. Beating Posh at their place 0-3 and overturning an eight point deficit againgst Wednesday.

I found it fairly enjoyable up until the 4th when i kind of switched and felt sorry for them that after such a good season they dont even have a tiny bit of hope going in to the 2nd leg. I would have rather they reverse the 3-0 at Hillsborough and posh sneak in the winner in the 94th minute to make it 4-3 on aggregate.
