Not a defence of Sunak but that is an edited clip and the full clip shows that he didn't just laugh and walk away. They continued the conversation and part ways by shaking hands.

Christ. I would be better at that than he is. And I’m a miserable old sod.
It is a big surprise to me how poor a PM Sunak has ended up being. Bad at comms and strategy.
What are you surprised at? He’s a privately-educated/Oxford PPE investment banker barely in his 40s, no way in the world does he want to be anywhere near the public. I’ve known people like him my whole life and they hold literally everyone else in the UK outside of their tiny circle in contempt.
In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Because during the depths of the Covid crisis he delivered his speech about the furlough scheme excellently. The country (and the world, to an extent) was at best deeply concerned and at worst terrified. He managed to strike exactly the right tone in a way that Johnson and others had failed to do.

...intelligent posters actually fall for these clips.
There's enough unedited cock ups made by the government to not need these.
The edit doesnt make it worse.
The full footage simply shows he was forced to continue the conversation because she followed him and kept talking. Invalid to try to minimise the rudeness and arrogance.

As Bloots has said, there is so much to criticise Rishi Sunak for, yet you're desperate to spin everything into the most negative way possible. It's a standard walk and talk where the conversation carried on longer than expected.
For someone who has crowed about their own superior intelligence, you'd do well to demonstrate some of it.

Be nice if this was his Gordon Brown/Gillian Duffy moment.
I reckon there will be more like this to come if he's allowed out into the real world during an actual election campaign.

That particular clip won't be his Duffy moment given the full version of the clip, should have looked at it a bit more critically. And for an actual Sky journalist to post the short version is poor.
However, I'd like to see the actual data for taking that many people off waiting lists when there's not a junior doctor's strike. I'm sure there's no massaging the figures going on so would be nice to have that confirmed.

Doesn't understand normal people – and clearly cannot stand them either. Who on earth would want him in charge?
According to opinion polls about 25% of the voting public.
Even if you can stomach their disgusting policies (I.e.the wealthy say 5%, who’ve done very nicely out of this mob), why on earth would you vote for that weedy, odious nonentity?

No spin required. A woman makes perfectly reasonable impassioned point. He laughs and turns his back on her whilst she is mid sentence. Literally. No social understanding or courtesy at all.

the surprise is he's probably worse than the two that preceded him... unbelievable, yet not really so, for that rabble

He really does have a massively unpleasant, condescending manner and a complete lack of self awareness or humility. Almost sociopathic. Even Boris occasionally looked genuinely troubled by things.
