Jack Taylor 14:52 - Jan 27 with 5040 views | gtsb1966 | After our lengthy pursuit of him I was really looking forward to him breaking into the team and making it hard for him to be dropped. It really is puzzling as to why he hasn't taken the chance to be a regular.

Jack Taylor on 14:56 - Jan 27 with 4274 views | RadioOrwell | He's all a bit average really. I can't see him being important for us if we stay down and certainly not if we go up.

Jack Taylor on 15:00 - Jan 27 with 4164 views | Jimmy86 | For all the talk of his apparent frustration at his lack of playing time, he hasn't, apart from a couple of worldie's, ever done enough when starting, or coming on, to cement a place in the starting 11... Def not enough to be knocking on McKenna's door...

It was supposedly McKenna who wanted him badly. Can't see why.

For us I honestly don't know. He's nowhere near morsy and luongo quality to be the cm and not really suited to our specific version of the 10 roles.. I like him as a player. I just don't know where he fits in

Jack Taylor on 15:14 - Jan 27 with 3909 views | GlasgowBlue | He could have had a tap in today had Broadhead not taken it off him as he was about to shoot. But yeah, can't really argue with the point you are making.

Jack Taylor on 15:18 - Jan 27 with 3859 views | northants | Very frustrating as I actually think he made a difference at Leicester with his more forward looking play,,,,but just sank back into obscurity today.....i will now take some covinvincing that he's good enough for us...

At Pboro, Chaplin’s position. So I feel for him.

I think it's more fundamental than that, I think his first touch is very poor and often leads to us losing the ball. It's just not good enough for the position he's asked to play in a McKenna team. Great shot on him and scores a few goals but that's secondary when looking at the requirements for our CM's. Unfortunately for him he might better as a 10 but he's not better than about 4 other 10's that we also have in the squad. I think he will do well from the bench but don't see him becoming a starter at the moment. SB

As he offers a completely different skill set to the other midfielders we have and allows us a level of flexibility.

From the bench. But we're not in the position to spend £1.5m on a super sub.

He’s not up to it , had several chances and never made the position his own . Bit part player …

He was most certainly their most attacking midfielder behind their striker.

He's never a 10. Takes away his weapons (energy and pace driving forward) and he doesn't have the technical ability or intricate passing for a 10.

That doesn't make him chaplins position then? Probably more of an 8, which we don't really play.

Jack Taylor on 20:45 - Jan 27 with 2761 views | 3_5_2 | Generally been disappointing. Almost like it’s all too big for him Needs to stop trying to play a killer ball and pass simple passes in good areas. Never looks like he believes he should be there

WTAF has TWTD lost its mind?! on 20:48 - Jan 27 with 2728 views | unstableblue | Taylor has had a poor game today. But had moments. He was critical to the Leicester win. He shows incredible promise. I cannot believe people are slating him. He has real potential. BACK HIM FOR GODS SAKE [Post edited 27 Jan 2024 20:50]
