McKenna took the time to speak to him whilst the game was continuing on pitch and greet him like he was one of our subs coming off the pitch. Clearly he does have a good relationship with McKenna from his time at Man Utd.

Could this be the answer on 10:11 - Dec 11 with 2917 views | gtsb1966 | Henry Winter was on talksport this morning saying Rashford would cost around £45m . Then I reckon at least 100k a week in wages. If Rashford is that cheap it does make you wonder though how much Delap would go for. I have read people are saying 50m or thereabouts. I think that's too high if the Rashford figure is correct. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

All things considered would not Delap be worth considerable more than Rashford who's value might have taken a knock of late . Marcus seems to lack motivation on occasions, are his best days behind him ? And probably double the salary whereas Liam's showing signs he might become a top top player his potential is huge . I would think a lot of clubs would want Delap and maybe some clubs might think Rashford is too much of a gamble ?

I think it's "how to ensure Ipswich go into administration after relegation" On his day Rashford is one of the top strikers in Europe but who knows when his next day will be!!

Rashford is going to have to be on the 'cheap' side as he's on £350k a week. He still has plenty of time on his deal so assuming he wanted that sort of money again then any buying club is looking at £113m over 4 years assuming they pay £40m for him. Delap would be half that based on the same transfer price and £70k a week wages.

This. Not sure what the OP is getting at, presumably the answer for Ipswich to stay up. Anyone who is on £300k+ a week is out our price range as he's not going to move for a wage drop. There is only a handful of teams who'll pay him that.
Could this be the answer on 15:23 - Dec 11 with 2162 views | OldFart71 | Rashford would in my opinion be a similar asset as Danny Wellbeck, also x Man Utd. The question would be who would pay £350 k a week ? who could afford that type of money for a player that is in and out. He can be very good or very poor. Not something we need. We have enough inconsistent players currently. Not their fault as they are learning the harder side of life in the Premier League whereas Rashford has been accustomed to playing in this League for a considerable time. So I wouldn't consider him a good buy at £45 million plus his very high wages.

Agree, he is a big risk now. I've been a big fan of his but he has become a big gamble for his next club. If United want rid and want a foreign CL club to take him they are going to need to sell him for next to nothing assuming he refuses to take a pay cut.

No one is going to pay £45m and then £18m a year on wages, it's financial suicide. It's a mess all round as Utd need a big fee for PSR purposes as he's home grown, but a contract until 2028 means he's in the driving position. They're going to have to try and find a way for him to succeed, but from what you hear in the game, his head's not in it.

The fee is just part of the package. I reckon Rashford would want a four year deal. May be 45million in wages. So a 90m package.

Was on target to be the next Michael Owen, just as Daniel Sturridge was. Currently on target to be the next Daniel Sturridge. I'm not knocking him. A lot of the hate he gets comes from those who didn't appreciate the way he showed up the Austerity Government. And, along with other black players who played in the most successful England team since 1966, there are also just old fashioned racists dying to give him a kicking, too. Hard to know how a young man who has achieved almost everything and made more than enough money to last a few lifetimes is able to rekindle love for the game, or confidence, or whatever the missing spark is, once it dims. See also Kalvin Phillips.
