Hirst is a terrific player. Much better at bringing into play those around him than Delap - as you’d expect from somebody that much older. Doesn’t have the power or the goalscoring ability of LD but I think an argument could be made that he fits the way we try and play better.
I thought in what little we saw of him in the PL, he looked the part. Fitness for me is the only question mark.

I realised today, that I don't really think of Omari as an ITFC player anymore. I kind of assume he's gone. But a wholly unexpected bonus if he stays.
If we keep Leif, then we don't need too much more in terms of the first XI.
Hopefully, significant investment in 2-3 key signings and a high quality loan or two maybe. [Post edited 4 Jul 15:59]

I think Hirst could be as good a goal scorer as Delap, he *just* needs to stay fit. | |
