Manchester airport CCTV on 08:14 - Jul 8 with 3047 views | RobTheMonk | It's a complex situation. I would say that if you're battering an armed officer then you're asking for trouble. If the officer thought that his gun was at risk, and with the level of violence against them that was entirely justified thinking, then in my opinion, you're putting that person down and ensuring they stay down. In hindsight, yes, that kick doesn't look good, but at the time he needed incapacitated. The guy was lucky not to get shot.

It's a live court case so anyone commenting on the rightsd and wrongs of the accused (or police's actions) would be very silly.

Life isn't that simple, he could have pinched that gun and shot someone. Unfortunately too many people believe all the movies they watch from Hollywood are real and Bruce Willis will jump out of a manhole and grab the gun before he shots someone. People need to remember Die Hard might be a Christmas movie but its not real life. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Agree. Very lucky he wasn’t shot. He would have been in most other places and rightly so. Why should people take even a 0.1% risk when dealing with animals like that? And yes, the first rule is when you get somebody down you make sure they stay there.
