From what KM said at the end of last season he hoped that Jens would be here this season. So he clearly wanted him. I also think he'd have Hackney in a flash if the possibility arises. We really need a strong MF 4 - which we didn't really have the 2nd half of last season when Sami's influence started to fade a bit and Philips just couldn't stay fit. |  |

I think better the devil you know, especially with the sums being quoted for Hackney. I would take both in absolute flash given the chance though - Jens isn't suddenly going to be capable of playing every minute especially with the increase number of games in the Championship. | | | |

This is fallacious based on the 2nd half of the season. Jens' minutes were amongst the highest in the new year, and he completed several games in the high 80'/90 minutes. | | | |

Out of the two, Jens is the much better deal with the added bonus that he comes straight in and knows how to operate in a really important position for us. The Hackney bid was at the very top of what you’d want to pay for him, and it’d take a while for him to get up to speed with how McKenna wants him to play.
