Does everyone assume Leif comes straight back in for the derby? I just wonder whether it might make sense to move Greaves to LB. Leif is obviously one of our best players but I do have some concerns he could be a bit rusty and does have a habit of getting caught out defensively sometimes. I would start Leif, but McKenna seemed a little cagey about that, so you might be right, and bring Leif on when they change their front four so that we've got some freshness in the defence. |  |

I think he starts, because you simply need your best players on the pitch for this one – although what a sub he'd be for the last 30 with his quality and energy levels.
Don't think he'll do seven straight games though and I'm happier with that than I would have been after seeing Johnson look more than competent & Greaves, as you mention, very sound there too. [Post edited 10 Apr 10:39]

I think it will depend upon what McKenna's tactics for the game are to be. Does he want to come out aggressively and try to take an early lead? Or to manage the game, control and stifle Norwich before hitting them later on?
There'll have been a lot of analysis and watching videos gone into that decision. Personally, I probably would start Davis, as think he will be itching to make a difference after the enforced lay-off and he does have a good level of understanding with Clarke (who himself might have a bit more space to operate than some games we've seen). |  |

Yes. He's a massive threat with his well timed outside runs that will keep their LCM wary about their LB getting overloaded by Clarke and Davis. That will set the whole tempo of the game imo. Neither Johnson nor even the lanky marauding Greaves will have the same effect, good options as they are from a defensive point of view. |  |

Johnson has done really well in the last few games. We've got 7 points and he's defended well. He's also made a big impact in an attacking sense with his brilliant cross at Hillsborough for Azon and his goal against Birmingham.
I think I would start Davis tomorrow though. I expect them to have the young Fisher on the right of their defence, he likes to get forward as well but can be suspect defensively. I would go with Davis and see if he and Clarke can get some joy down that side. |  | | |

Yep. Would argue Johnson is more of a threat than Davis. Better crosser of the ball. Gets into better positions in the box and generally has a better shot. Also better positionally as a defender (see block Saturday for reference) he literally got moved to cover Birminghams main threat at the weekend as he is a good quick defender. | | | |
