I like listening to football, politics and true crime podcasts. Not The Top 20, FiveThirtyEight and Red Handed would be my favourite from each.

It often changes, but at the moment my favourite long running podcasts, in no particular order:

The Luke & Pete Show
Darknet diaries
Wrestleme

Also enjoying an 8 parter called wind of change at the moment.

With the exception of Casefile, I've never gotten into podcasts. If you enjoy true crime, then I'd highly recommend it.

Not a podcast as such but every night I listen to a repeat of Steve Allen on LBC from stupid o clock that morning.

“Hello, I'm your MP. Actually I'm not. I'm your candidate. Gosh.” Boris Johnson canvassing in Henley, 2005.

Fraudology made by my friend ( well we met at several conferences in the past and occasional chat over fraud stuff in LinkedIn)

Radio free Skaro - Dr Who podcast

Coffee house shots - daily Spectator podcast

Obviously the Ipswich podcasts get listened to as well.

The Peter Crouch series was good.
Also Gossipmongers with Joe Wilkinson on Spotify was properly funny.

Kermode and Mayo's Film Review (Wittertainment) I don't even go to the cinema very often. HTJI

Blue Monday

Kings of Anglia

Are the 3 I rarely miss, but also have to add Rick Shiels and The Open podcasts as good ones.

Athletico Mince. It's technically about football but is mostly just Bob Mortimer and Andy Dawson putting on voices for an hour. Would recommend.

I survived Ipswich 0-0 Burton

Athletico Mince is quality; Bob Mortimer is fcking funny.

Top Flight Time Machine also very good (Sam Delaney is excellent).

Adam Buxton's podcast pretty decent too, altho a bit hit and miss.

I only really listen to two - Blue Monday (which is excellent for anyone who hasn’t listened before), and I also listen to the Palestino (the team I follow here in Chile) podcast, which is run by the club and they interview one of the players each month. It’s mainly great listening practice for my Spanish, as I’ve barely gone out at all over the last year so even living here I’ve not been speaking the language anything like as much as I did pre-pandemic.

Poll: Will Town score again this season?

I spend all night driving thses days so get through a lot of podcasts now. Current favourite listens are

We Have Ways, exhausted their back catalogue so listen to them as they come out now. (It's WW2 with Al Murray and James Cornwall for those unfamiliar)
In Our Time History, working my way through the back catalogue of Melvyn Bragg's show, about 200 history episodes I think.
Dan Carlin's History pod, my absolute favourite but very infrequent.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Still working through Holland and Murray’s We Have Ways back catalogue. Some are better than others, but overall, really interesting and thought provoking. A good contrast to revisionist bores like Max Hastings.
