Funny (well, it isn't but you know what I mean) that we are probably replacing him with an ex-Plymouth centre-back. Let's hope we get the better side of this one: you'd certainly expect we will given Bradley's pedigree.

Good for him. Assume he would have left anyway as he'd only have been offered a one year deal here if we did want to keep him.

Truly impaired.

In fairness to him, he asked Lambert why he had picked Nsiala ahead of him and Lambert said he had flipped a coin,

That was when he got sent to train with the U23s

Peak banter era right there. It still amazes me that people don't fully see the link between so many of our players looking physically and mentally shot to bits, and Lambert being kept in charge for at least a year too long.

That's unbelievable. If that's how Lambert manages it's no wonder he keeps failing.

If the manager was choosing the team by flipping a coin - why didn't Evans step in sooner?

Also provides yet another example of the absolute car wreck that was the Evans era.

Lambert should have been sacked on the spot for that kind of business. I expect he felt quite comfortable treating people like dirt after signing a five year contract.

Because he was incompetent, disinterested and detached from the reality on the gorund at ITFC.

He struggled to handle players with big personalities or those who challenged him, plus laid back players - Wilson is someone not happy to sit on the bench, it's why he got his exit from Lincoln, and why despite probably earning one, why I didn't expect him to sign a new contract here. He has to be playing.

I suppose when you’ve 50 odd unfit players to choose from, flipping a coin is as good a method as any. Jeez. Lambert eh? He’s up there jostling with Hurst the worst.

As for Wilson, well done him (his agent) for sorting out a new contract. There’s going to be a fair few journeymen/lower league players without one come the end of the transfer window.

I think it was a mistake to release him.

Are the club really that confident on the volume and quality of players we can get in this summer?

Evidently.

Wilson is a very basic, average, middle of the road L1 defender, no more and no less. Let's not pretend otherwise.

'He struggled to handle players with big personalities' and what about those like most of our players, who don't appear to have ANY personalities?*

*Norwood isn't a 'personality' - he's Colin Hunt with a number 10 shirt and a beer gut.

To be fair, by all accounts he wants first team football.

The club will feel that we can do better at CB... Bradley, Woolfenden, Nsiala. (plus Ndaba and Baggot coming through the ranks).

So, Wilson is unlikely to get regular first team football, and is likely to be very unhappy at not playing.

Correct decision all around.

We have spent too long stock piling players 'just in case'.

Nsiala won't be here next season and I doubt Woolfenden will feature much either, if he's here at all.
