The issue is it’s not as straight forward as saying X and Y is OK, but Z is too far. Accepting booing anthems and laughing at a crying kid gives rise to c***s like this.

Thousands/millions can be perfectly fine with booing players or anthems, and don't feel any such desire to attack innocent people. Clearly, it is a massive stretch to say one is the cause of the other.
You don't see Ipswich fans attacking people up and don the country attacking other supporters after we boo the opposition line-up. That's not some gateway to worse behaviour. Nor is this. |  |
