Wouldn't have thought he'd fit the bill in terms of character compared to some of the other options. Similarly, 30 matches in the last three seasons suggests he's still somewhat injury prone.

Similarly, I've heard allegations a few times from people involved with football that not all of his injury-related absences are truly injury-related.

On an entirely unrelated note - injured players do not qualify for selection for random drug tests.
